Summary
SDL is hiring interns for a 2-3 month term to work alongside the CEO on day-to-day marketing, social media, research, and operations. The internship will provide valuable experience in sales, marketing, business, communications or human resource fields and is a fantastic resume booster. Interns are expected to create a strategic plan for their assignment, complete weekly progress reports, and assist with various projects and events.
Requirements
- Interested in careers in marketing, sales, business, public relations, social media, human resources, or training/development
- MUST NOT be fearful of networking and making introductions!
- Eager to learn sales, marketing, planning, and communication skills
- Minimum 10 hours a week between the hours of 9A to 7P M-F; we will work around your schedule
- Working knowledge of Facebook, LinkedIn, and/or Twitter
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated, with a solid independent work ethic
- Go-getter attitude and a willingness to do what it takes to get the job done
- Like selling and relationship building
- Own phone and computer
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Attend a 30 minute staff meeting once a week
Responsibilities
- Create a strategic plan for your 3 month assignment
- Complete a weekly report on progress on assignments and report out during staff meetings
- Use social media, PR, and marketing, as deemed appropriate
- Assist with operations and marketing duties
- Pre-define metrics for success of your strategic plan and analyze results at the end of assignment
- Assists with other needs, as assigned
