Are You the One Who Defends What Others Built?
We partner with high-impact businesses and creative brands who are building powerful legacies — and they need a protector behind the scenes who ensures their ideas, names, and rights stay theirs.
They’re overwhelmed by:
- Unauthorized use of trademarks, brand names, or original content
- USPTO deadlines and confusing renewal processes
- DMCA takedowns, IP disputes, and lack of enforcement visibility
- Brand misuse across platforms with no one proactively monitoring
They don’t need someone to just file paperwork.
They need someone who takes ownership of their IP like it’s their own.
An organized, detail-obsessed legal mind who understands the value of what’s been built — and how to protect it at scale.
What You’ll Actually Be Doing
You won’t just manage trademarks.
You’ll be the gatekeeper of brand integrity and legal security.
You’ll take ownership of:
1. Trademark Management & Enforcement
● Monitor USPTO registered marks, analyze potential infringements, and escalate issues as needed
● Manage the lifecycle of IP assets including registrations, renewals, and maintenance deadlines
● Execute and track DMCA takedowns, cease & desist actions, and other enforcement initiatives
2. Legal Coordination & Strategic Oversight
● Coordinate directly with external counsel on filings, prosecution matters, and litigation support
● Conduct trademark clearance searches and advise internal teams on potential conflicts
● Keep the firm compliant and ahead of schedule with organized IP documentation systems
3. Platform Monitoring & Brand Protection
● Utilize IP protection platforms like ZeroFox and explore tools like Corsearch or Clarivate to identify threats
● Maintain real-time visibility into brand misuse, content scraping, and unauthorized name usage
● Recommend proactive measures to reduce future risks and strengthen brand protection
4. Internal Advising & Cross-Team Collaboration
● Partner with media and marketing teams to ensure proper use of trademarks and brand assets
● Provide education and documentation around usage guidelines, rights boundaries, and escalation pathways
● Contribute to brand security strategies by advising on best practices across content and campaign efforts
You’ll Love This Role If You…
● Are passionate about defending what others create — from names to ideas to content
● Thrive in environments where attention to detail really matters
● Have a mind for both systems and strategy — and can handle compliance calendars without dropping a beat
● Get excited by words like “enforcement,” “ownership,” and “renewal deadlines”
● Are a clear communicator who enjoys translating legal knowledge into actionable guidance
You Might Be a Fit If You’ve…
● Worked as an attorney or experienced paralegal in the IP law space
● Managed USPTO trademark portfolios from start to renewal
● Sent DMCA takedown notices and coordinated enforcement with legal teams
● Used platforms like ZeroFox, Corsearch, Clarivate, or similar
● Partnered with internal marketing or media teams to ensure proper IP usage
This Role Isn’t for You If…
● You’re unfamiliar with IP law or uncomfortable learning enforcement tools
● You need daily oversight or aren’t confident managing deadlines independently
● You don’t enjoy reading fine print or writing strategic notices
● You see trademarks and copyrights as “just paperwork”
