Job description
Our Journey at Keep
At Keep, we embarked on a mission with a powerful question: Why hasn’t the banking experience caught up with the rapid pace of technology?
This continues to fuel our passion for reshaping the Canadian fintech landscape. We provide businesses with a comprehensive suite of cross-border banking services, offering everything from credit cards to deposit accounts, currency conversions, and revenue financing.
With a team of seasoned global startup veterans with successful exits, Keep is committed to leading the charge as Canada’s next-generation fintech institution. Backed by VCs in the fintech sector, we’re racing ahead, expanding our reach and impact like never before.
About the Role
Join Keep as a Junior Underwriting Analyst and play an important part in evaluating credit applications and supporting our credit operations team. You’ll help review financial data, assess creditworthiness, and contribute to building reliable, responsible lending processes for Canadian businesses. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career to grow within a high-performing fintech team.
Who We’re Looking For
You’re detail-oriented and love diving into numbers and financial data.
You’re a team player who communicates clearly and works well with others.
You’re comfortable using Google Sheets and Excel to organize and analyze information.
You enjoy learning and thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing startup environment.
You may be a recent graduate or currently studying something related to Finance or Economics — that’s a plus!
Key Responsibilities:
Credit Review Support: Assist in reviewing credit applications and gathering the necessary documentation for analysis.
Financial Data Entry & Analysis: Help input and organize financial data, supporting deeper evaluations by the underwriting team.
Documentation & Record-keeping: Ensure proper documentation of underwriting decisions and maintain up-to-date records.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to follow up on credit applications and improve internal processes.
Learning & Development: Actively learn about risk management, financial modeling, and credit policy to grow your underwriting skills over time.
Why You Should be Excited About This Role
We’re building a modern financial ecosystem for Canadian SMBs.
We move fast, learn constantly, and build data-first tools to make better financial decisions.
Our culture is remote-friendly, inclusive, and built on trust and collaboration.
You’ll work with a supportive team that values feedback, autonomy, and innovation.
Help shape the future of small business banking in Canada.
Why Join Keep?
We’re focused on investing in data-driven solutions and cutting-edge technologies.
Be part of a team that’s redefining the playbook for the Canadian fintech industry.
Data is the fuel for our growth, and you’ll be in the driver’s seat shaping our data strategies.
Embrace a fully inclusive, remote-friendly company culture that values diversity and work-life balance.
Help us reshape the banking experience for businesses with modern banking solutions.
Why This Might Not Be a Good Fit
If you need rigid guidance and step-by-step instructions, our autonomous environment might feel challenging.
If you prefer a predictable routine, the pace and ambiguity of a fast-growing startup may not be ideal.
If you prefer to work alone rather than as part of a team, our collaborative approach might feel out of sync.
What’s the Interview Process Like?
Initial Screening with TalentLlama (15 min): A quick check to see if we’re a good fit.
