Job description
MOO set out to shake up the world of print back in 2006. And we’ve come a long way since. Today we’re a 400 + strong team (we’re thinking of getting matching jackets) who create print and digital products for companies of all sizes – from Google and AirBnB to the guy who makes those amazing prints you found at a craft fair.
Our global HQ is in London, UK, while we also have premises in Dagenham. In the US, you’ll find us in Boston, MA, as well as East Providence, RI and Denver, CO.
We’re making new and exciting things – and we could really do with your help.
This role sits within the Supply Chain team, which covers everything from procurement to fulfilment and logistics. Whilst logistics is currently a lean function, you’ll be working directly with the hiring manager, our Shipping & Logistics Manager, who is currently the sole dedicated logistics SME within the business, so this is a fantastic opportunity to get involved and make a real impact.
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented logistics professional to join our Supply Chain team. The ideal candidate will have both hands-on logistics experience and strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data to not only track carrier performance but also inform strategic decisions about the future of our logistics network. In this role, you will play a key part in optimising our global shipping and logistics operations through the analysis of performance data, rate proposals, and other relevant metrics. You will also support the management of carrier relationships, assist with customs compliance (including HS code classification), and respond to ad-hoc operational queries from across the business.
We are looking for a logistics professional who combines solid industry experience in the e-comm sector with a strong analytical mindset. You should have a proven background in shipping, analytics, carrier performance monitoring, and customs processes along with a demonstrable ability to interpret large sets of data and spot trends to inform smarter logistics decisions. Just as important, we’re after someone who’s genuinely enthusiastic about logistics and excited by the opportunity to make a big impact at an exciting time for the company. You’ll thrive in this role if you’re naturally curious, motivated to understand how things work and constantly thinking “how could we do this, but better?” The ideal candidate will be proactive, collaborative and confident working independently as well as part of a team. Someone who takes the initiative, brings fresh thinking and isn’t afraid to get stuck in when challenges arise.
Responsibilities
- Analyse shipping cost trends, courier rate cards and performance data to identify savings and improve service
- Build and maintain dashboards (e.g. in Tableau) to track carrier performance, costs and other logistics KPIs
- Support tendering and benchmarking of carrier rates with timely, data-driven cost and service comparisons
- Assist with the management of carrier relationships and escalation of service issues
- Carrier invoice analysis
- Respond to internal and external customs-related queries and help ensure accurate HS code classification for products
- Work closely with Customer Service and Sales to resolve shipping delays and customs holds
- Support logistics projects with cost modelling, reporting, and scenario analysis
- Proactively identify inefficiencies in logistics processes and suggest improvements
About You
- Ability to use visualisation tools to create dashboards and present data (Tableau, Power BI etc.)
- Advanced excel user with the ability to manipulate and transform large data-sets
- Strong understanding of cross-border, international logistics requirements and processes
- Detail orientated
- Ability to work accurately at pace
