We are looking to expand our Leadership team within our greater Infrastructure organization. Please see details on team below:
FigFile:
- The FigFile Content team manages the infrastructure that supports file and asset operations. As the Engineering Manager, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of Figma’s file management capabilities, ensuring that our systems are secure, efficient, and scalable.
- This role impacts both our internal processes and the experience of millions of users worldwide. You will collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teams to integrate new features and optimize existing systems, building and extending our infrastructure to support a diverse set of products and features. The role presents opportunities to tackle challenges such as expanding data locality, implementing enterprise-grade encryption solutions, and enhancing content management systems, all of which are vital to Figma’s growth and success in the competitive design software landscape.
Developer Experience:
- The Developer Experience team is responsible for the core build, test, and workflow systems used across Figma. Our mission is to make every engineer at the company happier and more productive! We’re improving our Bazel-based build system used by a variety of services, iterating on our cloud-based development environment, making our CI system faster & more reliable, and creating internal tools to make engineering workflows more efficient
- Our team is growing in order to ensure that engineering-wide productivity across Figma stays high as we scale. We’re looking for thoughtful leaders passionate about improving dev velocity and with experience leading teams focused on internal tools & system
These roles are full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.
What you’ll do at Figma:
- Manage, support and develop a team of engineers, including staff level engineers, who design and build scalable services to power Figma’s infrastructure
- Drive the execution of strategic initiatives, enhancing Figma’s core infrastructure supporting Files and associated media
- Partner with product and engineering leadership to set strategy, priorities, and mission for teams and projects
- Establish trust within and across teams by creating accountability and a positive work environment in partnership with other leaders in the organization

We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- 3+ years of experience managing and leading high output engineering teams
- Experience working on internal product infrastructure teams with many internal customers
- Experience growing and extending internal platforms, with an emphasis on customer experience, and developer velocity
- Demonstrated leadership skills in building a high-performing and highly engaged engineering team. Proven track record of motivating, mentoring, and guiding senior engineers
- Demonstrated experience with understanding the needs of our internal client teams and aligning roadmap to drive maximum business impact

Pay Transparency Disclosure
If based in Figma’s San Francisco or New York hub offices, this role has the annual base salary range stated below.
Job level and actual compensation will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process (including skills and prior relevant experience, potential impact, and scope of role), market demands, and specific work location. The listed range is a guideline, and the range for this role may be modified. For roles that are available to be filled remotely, the pay range is localized according to employee work location by a factor of between 80% and 100% of range. Please discuss your specific work location with your recruiter for more information.

Annual Base Salary Range (SF/NY Hub):
$250,000—$350,000 USD
