As a Specialist, Payer Operations at Aledade, you’ll take ownership of bringing payer products to life—guiding them from contract signature through launch, activation, and ongoing performance. Acting as the go-to expert for your assigned products, you’ll lead cross-functional efforts to ensure everything is aligned and ready for market, from operational workflows to messaging and stakeholder coordination.
This is a highly collaborative, hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of product management, project execution, and healthcare innovation. You’ll play a key part in shaping how we bring value-based care offerings to market—ensuring readiness, driving alignment, and helping our payer partnerships succeed.
We’re looking for someone who brings strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and a passion for solving complex problems in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Candidates should be comfortable working remotely/work from home anywhere within the US.
Primary Duties:
- Serve as single-threaded (STO) owner and project coordinator for each assigned payer product, managing timelines, milestones, and deliverables from contract signature to in-market activation. Ensure clear documentation, status tracking, and issue resolution.
- Act as the primary subject matter expert (SME) on assigned payer products. Maintain deep knowledge of product features, operational mechanics, target market fit, and value propositions to inform stakeholders and support decision-making.
- Partner closely with internal teams including Strategy, Performance, Sales, Marketing, and Market P&L to ensure product readiness, team alignment, and growth targets are met.
- Support the creation and execution of go-to-market strategies and campaigns in partnership with corporate marketing, ensuring accurate product positioning and messaging.
- Report on product and campaign performance, synthesize data into actionable insights, and provide recommendations for product enhancement or promotional adjustments.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Project Management, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in product management, project management, go-to-market execution, or cross-functional operations
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and meet deadlines
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts across various stakeholders and seniority levels
- Demonstrated ownership mindset with a bias toward action and continuous improvement
- Direct, relevant work experience in Payer Contracting/Value Based Care is preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using project and task management tools such as Monday.com, Salesforce, Slack, and similar platforms
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional workstreams with minimal supervision
- Strong presentation and storytelling skills to communicate product vision and progress
- Analytical mindset with the ability to provide insights from qualitative and quantitative data
- Collaborative and adaptive approach to working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
$65,000 - $75,000 a year
Salary Range: $65,000-$75,000 base + bonus + equity
Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
Who We Are:
Aledade, a public benefit corporation, exists to empower the most transformational part of our health care landscape - independent primary care. We were founded in 2014, and since then, we’ve become the largest network of independent primary care in the country - helping practices, health centers and clinics deliver better care to their patients and thrive in value-based care. Additionally, by creating value-based contracts across a wide variety of health plans, we aim to flip the script on the traditional fee-for-service model. Our work strengthens continuity of care, aligns incentives and ensures primary care physicians are paid for what they do best - keeping patients healthy. If you want to help create a health care system that is good for patients, good for practices and good for society - and if you’re eager to join a collaborative, inclusive and remote-first culture - you’ve come to the right place.
What Does This Mean for You?
At Aledade, you will be part of a creative culture that is driven by a passion for tackling complex issues with respect, open-mindedness and a desire to learn. You will collaborate with team members who bring a wide range of experiences, interests, backgrounds, beliefs and achievements to their work - and who are all united by a shared passion for public health and a commitment to the Aledade mission.
In addition to time off to support work-life balance and enjoyment, we offer the following comprehensive benefits package designed for the overall well-being of our team members:
Flexible work schedules and the ability to work remotely are available for many roles
