About the Role
Creating a world-class customer experience is critical to Ethos’ mission and will continue to determine our growth and success in the life insurance industry. We are looking for a production Analyst who can ensure our production environment’s smooth operation and enhance the overall user experience. The ideal candidate will monitor production logs, identify and analyze bugs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Continuously monitor production logs to detect anomalies, errors, and potential issues in real time.
- Identify patterns and trends in log data, and dashboards that may indicate underlying problems.
- Investigate bugs reported by users or identified through monitoring.
- Analyze the root cause of bugs and their impact on the user journey.
- Document and categorize bugs based on severity, frequency, and affected components.
- Work closely with development and QA teams to reproduce, debug, and resolve issues.
- Provide detailed reports and insights to assist in the timely resolution of bugs.
- Participate in post-mortem analyses to identify areas for improvement.
- Generate regular reports on log analysis findings and bug status.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of bugs, including steps to reproduce, impact, and resolution.
- Suggest and implement improvements to logging and monitoring processes.
Qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering.
- Proven experience in monitoring production logs and analyzing software bugs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using log analysis tools and various dashboard software.
- Familiarity with programming and scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, SQL) is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate messages to a variety of stakeholders and audiences
- Have a personal drive to work proactively and take ownership of all your actions.
