Sysco International are currently recruiting for a Programme Manager – Europe to join the team on a 2 year Fixed Term Contract basis.
The Purpose of this role is to partner with the Programme Sponsor for RISE (the European deployment of RELEX) to lead the delivery and governance of this strategic programme tracking and reporting on progress and overall status as well as identifying key dependencies and risks.
This role will work closely with the European Markets, project managers and central Technology teams to deliver the overall programme on time, to budget and with associated benefits
Within this role you will bring overarching visibility and governance to the programme ensuring it continues to meet the changing demands of the business, whilst also creating a culture that fosters high levels of engagement and cross-functional/ market working.
Key Accountabilities;
- Create and own the overall RISE programme plan(s) ensuring it’s kept up to date, balancing risk & benefits delivery, recognising all interdependencies between individual projects as well across people, systems & process
- Set up and lead relevant programme governance such as Steering Committees
- Lead the teams to ensure all individual projects have appropriate plans, governance, and business cases and are tracked and managed according to Sysco PMO
- Ensure all relevant markets are fully engaged in programme with regular senior stakeholder updates in place
- Work closely with Finance team to ensure full visibility of costs & benefits with forecasts accurately updated
- Provide regular customer & business updates, recognising colleague & customer sensitivities
- Ensure robust change management activities are delivered with appropriate training and readiness checks in place
- Provide regular Exec level updates to ensure key issues are appropriately escalated and understood
- Work with each functional area to forecast and plan resource levels required to deliver the programme
- Support the Programme Director/ Sponsor as required with any departmental initiatives
You;
The ideal candidate must have proven experience in delivering large, highly complex, multi-disciplinary programmes, including working on cross-market initiatives. You should demonstrate strong leadership skills, with the ability to drive and set direction for teams to achieve programme objectives. A key capability is creating simplicity and structure from complexity and ambiguity. Extensive stakeholder management and business engagement experience is essential, alongside a strong blend of operational programme execution and strategic thinking. You should be experienced in managing large budgets and proficient in Microsoft Office tools, such as Project, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. Excellent presentation and communication skills, along with being organized and detail-oriented, are also critical. Additionally, experience working remotely and across multiple locations is required. It is beneficial, though not mandatory, to have a job-relevant qualification, change management experience, and familiarity with Smartsheet.
