Your Role:

The Sales Data Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the sales organization by delivering data-driven insights and performance analysis.  This role is responsible formaintaining, collecting, analyzing, and interpreting internal and external sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.  The ideal candidate has a proficient understanding of Circana, SPINS, and Nielsen, as well as Power Bi and strong analytical skills, business acumen, and the ability to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.

What You’ll Do:

  • Analyze Sales/Distributor data and trends to provide actionable insights that drive revenue growth and improve sales efficiency
  • Build custom tools that can be leveraged by the Sales team to support Vital Farms sales growth such as a distribution opportunity matrix and CDI/BDI opportunities
  • Working with cross-functional stakeholders to support data integrity for systems such as Blacksmith
  • Current Power BI dashboard data refreshes and dimension table maintenance for the Sales team as well as Senior Leadership team
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and KPIs for tracking sales performance, as well as retailer shopper marketing performance vs spend
  • Monitor customer buying patterns to inform strategic decisions
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and reporting for Sales team
  • Own monthly reporting updates across the different syndicated data sources (SPINS, Nielsen, Circana)
  • Internal central point of contact to support syndicated data usage including managing data access and trainings, report building, and fielding ad-hoc questions from internal stakeholders
  • Work cross-functionally to serve as the central point of contact for data integration projects as it relates to syndicated data sources and retailer data
  • Monthly custom hierarchy product coding in Circana and product setup/coding for SPINS / Nielsen with Marketing

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Data Analytics, Economics, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in sales analytics, category management, or a similar data-focused role
  • Circana, SPINS, and Nielsen, as well as Power Bi experience required
  • 15% - 20% travel for company team meetings, off-site meetings, and onboarding trips
  • Ability to facilitate and build training
  • Solid business acumen and understanding of the CPG or retail landscape
  • Strong communication, storytelling, and analytical skills with the ability to influence decisions.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.

At Vital Farms, compensation decisions are dependent upon a variety of factors, which may include, but are not limited to, skill level, experience, education, training, market demands, and business needs. A reasonable estimate of the current starting annual base salary for this position is $75,000 - $90,000. Please keep in mind that hiring at the maximum end of the range would not be typical in order to allow for potential continued future salary growth.
