The Role:
The Outbound Sales Development Representative (SDR) plays a key role in creating and developing new business opportunities. An SDR’s primary responsibility is reaching out to potential customers and initiating conversations to identify their needs, qualify their interests, and set up meetings or appointments for the sales team.
Responsibilities:
- Qualify leads, set meetings, and schedule appointments between prospective customers and a sales representative
- Research, identify, and create new market opportunities through targeted engagement with prospect accounts
- Perform high-volume outreach, maintaining a high level of productivity through frequent calls and emails to prospective clients or candidates.
- Maintain a self-starter attitude while creating outreach strategies for new lead generation methods
- Support Account Executives on outbound strategies and lead-generating efforts
- Be the first point of contact for new business prospects and determine the next steps for each prospect moving forward
- Establish active communication and engagement with prospects to create new leads and sales openings
- Maintain high professionalism and customer service when interacting with clients or potential clients
- Track activity and progress through Salesforce (or your CRM)
Requirements:
- Has experience in Lead Generation, Appointment Setting, and Cold calling in a B2B set-up
- Able to negotiate skillfully, promote/sell ideas
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, coupled with excellent listening skills and a positive and energetic phone presence
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet targets.
- Self-motivated, disciplined, and strategic in approach
