As a Senior Account Executive, you will own high-value sales opportunities, partner closely with executive leaders at school networks, and help shape the expansion strategy of a mission-driven company. THE POSITION:
The Senior Account Executive – School Partnerships is a strategic sales role responsible for securing and expanding partnerships with charter school networks and other K–12 institutions. This individual contributor role requires high levels of initiative, business acumen, and deep familiarity with the charter landscape. The position is remote, with travel as needed (approximately 25%).We have a strong preference for candidates with experience selling in the South, particularly in Florida, Georgia, or Arizona.
WHAT YOU DO EACH DAY:
Own and drive the full sales cycle from prospecting through close, focused on high-potential charter networks and key regional opportunities
Develop and execute sales strategies that align with Kokua’s market opportunity, revenue goals, and growth plans
Build deep, trusted relationships with C-level and senior leaders at school networks to position Kokua as a strategic partner
Strategize and lead territory expansion efforts in collaboration with the Sales, Operations, and Marketing teams
Consistently meet or exceed ambitious revenue and growth quotas, with a focus on large, multi-school partnerships
Prepare and deliver high-impact proposals, presentations, and RFP responses tailored to executive decision-makers
Forecast with precision and contribute timely market, customer, and competitor intelligence to drive sales and product strategy
Generate and deliver clear, actionable reporting and insights to the Executive Team on pipeline health, risks, and strategic opportunities
Seamlessly transition closed partnerships to the Operations team for implementation and long-term success
Represent Kokua at relevant conferences, regional summits, and school network events

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Human Connector • You are adept at building authentic, trusting relationships with executive-level stakeholders. You represent Kokua with professionalism and passion, and you naturally spark interest and connection.
Senior Sales Capabilities • You bring 7+ years of sales experience, including at least 3 years focused on enterprise or multi-site education partnerships. You have a strong grasp of the charter school landscape and experience engaging superintendents, CAOs, and other senior decision-makers. You are mission-aligned and bring a strategic, consultative sales approach.
Customer Focus • You anticipate and understand the unique needs of school leaders. You act with empathy and urgency, aligning Kokua’s offerings to each partner’s priorities and goals. You create solutions that deliver value and impact.
Executive Presence & Negotiation • You lead strategic negotiations and confidently manage complex buying cycles. You balance being firm and flexible, earning trust across all levels of an organization, and closing deals that deliver value for both Kokua and the partner.

Education Sales Expertise • You bring 7+ years of education sales experience with a strong record of success working with charter school networks and school systems. You understand the nuances of the education landscape and partner credibly with senior and executive leaders. Prior classroom or school-based experience is a strong plus and deepens your connection to our mission.
