About Chicory

We were founded in 2013 by Yuni Baker-Saito and Joey Petracca, starting from a dorm room at Colgate University. We built a contextual advertising platform for CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) and grocery sectors. Our goal is to reach consumers when they are actively thinking about food—discovering new recipes, planning meals, or building grocery lists.

Our platform pairs engaging ads with relevant, brand-safe content. We help connect brands and retailers with consumers at key stages of their buying journey, from initial interest to purchase. Our network reaches 150 million shoppers monthly through over 7,000 food publishers like The Kitchn, Food Network, and MyFitnessPal. We also integrate directly with more than 70 retailers and partner with retail media companies. We work with CPG brands and retailers like Kraft Heinz and Kroger to help them launch new products, promote specific uses, or reach new and returning shoppers.
