Responsibilities

We are looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to act as a strategic technical partner in the design and implementation of data-driven solutions, with a strong focus on extracting insights, identifying root causes, and uncovering opportunities through both basic and advanced analytical techniques. This role plays a critical part in supporting regulatory and compliance initiatives, ensuring data reliability, traceability, and accessibility for decision-making.

We seek a product-minded professional who combines solid data engineering foundations with advanced analytical skills in SQL, Python, Databricks, and Redshift, while also having the ability to deliver insights through compelling visual storytelling using Qlik Sense or similar BI tools.

  • Develop analytical data models to support insight generation, anomaly detection, and business monitoring;

  • Apply Star Schema, normalized (3NF), denormalized, and domain-oriented modeling techniques to optimize performance and traceability;

  • Work closely with stakeholders to translate business questions into metrics, KPIs, and actionable data products.

  • Apply statistical and analytical techniques to identify patterns, outliers, root causes, and opportunities across operational and financial data;

  • Build exploratory datasets and rapid prototypes to validate hypotheses and surface new insights;

  • Collaborate with teams across Finance, Risk, and Compliance to execute impactful analyses aligned with regulatory goals and business outcomes.

  • Proven experience building dashboards and analytics products with Qlik Sense (preferred), including set analysis, advanced expressions, and visual layer modeling;

  • Ability to standardize KPI frameworks, apply visual best practices, and communicate findings through clear, compelling data stories;

  • Experience delivering dashboards for executive and operational stakeholders, ensuring both usability and impact;

  • Design and maintain scalable batch and streaming pipelines using Databricks (PySpark) and Airflow for real-time and scheduled data delivery;

  • Implement modular, reusable transformations, ensuring version control (Git) e observability

  • Simplify technical complexity to enable self-service access and empower analysts with high-quality curated data layers.

  • Support and optimize analytical environments such as Redshift, Delta Lake, and Databricks, balancing performance and accessibility;

  • Contribute to data architecture evolution for discoverability, lineage, and cost efficiency;

  • Maintain bronze/silver/gold layers, integrating appropriate data quality validations.

  • Ensure compliance with internal governance frameworks and external regulatory standards;

  • Develop and maintain audit-ready data assets in partnership with Risk and Compliance teams.

  • Advanced SQL proficiency with hands-on experience in Redshift and Databricks environments;

  • Strong working knowledge of Delta Lake features (ACID transactions, time travel, compaction, etc.);

  • Solid programming experience in Python, particularly for data analysis and transformation;

  • Background in data-driven domains such as financial services, risk analytics, compliance, or regulated product environments.

  • Familiarity with AWS services (plus);

  • Fluency in English or Spanish for cross-functional collaboration and communication; (plus)

  • Experience working in highly regulated industries such as banking, insurance, or fintech is highly valued (plus).
