Senior Attorney Specializing in Government Contracting and Procurement

A well-known and respected large law firm is seeking a Senior Attorney with extensive experience in Government Contracting and Procurement Law to join our dynamic team. This role offers flexibility, with options for remote or hybrid work arrangements, enabling you to collaborate from a location that suits you best.

About the Role:

As a Senior Attorney, you will provide comprehensive legal counsel to clients navigating the intricacies of government procurement and contracting. This includes advising on compliance, bid protests, litigation, negotiations, and other essential aspects of this highly regulated industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on federal, state, and local procurement processes, including sealed bids, negotiated procurements, and sole-source awards.
  • Represent clients in pre- and post-award bid protests and other litigation matters.
  • Provide guidance on regulatory compliance, including FAR, VAAR, cybersecurity, and small business programs.
  • Draft and negotiate complex contracts, such as teaming agreements, joint ventures, and subcontracts.
  • Counsel clients on specialized procurement instruments, including OTA contracts and CRADAs.
  • Protect client interests in intellectual property, data rights, and cybersecurity matters.
  • Represent clients in construction claims, including Miller Act claims, bid disputes, and mechanic’s liens.
  • Provide legal counsel on international contracting, including compliance with export controls, FCPA, and Buy American Act requirements.
  • Support clients in mergers, acquisitions, and novation processes related to government contracts.
  • Assist with security clearance compliance, including Facility (FCL) and Personnel (PCL) clearances.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar membership in good standing.
  • At least 10 years of experience in government contracting and procurement law.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local procurement regulations.
  • Proven experience in litigation, dispute resolution, and bid protests.
  • Expertise in compliance, cybersecurity, intellectual property, and international contracting.
  • Exceptional legal research, writing, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage complex cases and provide strategic legal counsel in high-pressure situations.
