We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer specializing in Golang to help build and maintain the systems powering our HTML5 casual games. As a critical member of an agile and collaborative team, you will be involved from initial design through ongoing maintenance, ensuring our backend infrastructure remains robust, scalable, and secure.

About the role
As a Backend Developer at CoolGames, you’ll design, develop, and maintain reliable and scalable backend systems using Golang, supporting our portfolio of casual web games. Your work will directly impact millions of players worldwide.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining backend services;
- Collaborating closely with designers, QA engineers, developers, and producers to refine requirements;
- Managing deployments, infrastructure-as-code, and continuous integration pipelines;
- Contributing to the ongoing stability, scalability, and security of our cloud services;
- Participating actively in code reviews, technical design proposals, and team processes;
- Championing and implementing security best practices;
- Monitoring and improving system performance and reliability.
About you
You’re proactive, enthusiastic, and eager to tackle challenging problems. You have strong technical skills, enjoy collaborating closely with your team, and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.
- At least 5 years of professional backend development experience;
- Strong proficiency in Golang;
- Solid knowledge of Linux environments and infrastructure best practices;
- Experience with Ansible and Docker;
- Experienced with Agile methodologies;
- Strong communication skills with excellent English proficiency;
- Experience with Git and automation pipelines;
- Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure);
- Passion for game development;
- Strong technical design skills with eye for detail;
- Understanding of network communication protocols.

- Familiar with GitLab CI/CD;
- Familiar with JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js;
- Familiar with Terraform and AWS;
- Familiar with Nakama
