JOB PURPOSE
Today’s brands are built on social. It’s where consumers make their decisions, and where business impact is made.
Senior Community Managers are brains behind the scenes of the brand. They are the strategic stewards of a brand’s social presence, working hard to drive business results through cultural relevance. They guide how the brand shows up, connects with the community, and grows its footprint across all platforms.
Strong Senior Community Managers guide internal and external teams through the ever-evolving landscape of social. They advise clients on when their brand should react and when it should sit back, they help internal teams speak the language of the community without being cringe, and they keep everyone ahead of the trends. The work in service of their communities, but they maintain a responsibility to the business performance of their brands.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Senior Community Manager, your role is equal parts strategist, creative partner, and performance analyst. You’ll be expected to:
- Lead and oversee content calendar development, ensuring alignment with audience behavior, cultural moments, and brand strategy.
- Manage publishing and posting schedules across multiple channels, always optimizing and advising on timing and cadence
- Craft engaging, on-tone copy that builds the brand world
- Deliver regular trend reports that inform reactive and proactive creative decisions
- Identify and quickly activate against cultural trends and competitor activities
- Own all aspects of community engagement, including real-time moderation, proactive audience building, and escalation of potential issues
- Act as a social platform expert, advising clients and internal teams on best practices, algorithm updates, and content formats
- Analyze performance data (weekly, monthly) to extract insights and optimize strategies
- Serve as a go-to contact for clients, helping to bridge strategy with day-to-day execution
SKILLS AND PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

- Essential:
- 4+ years relevant experience within a community/social media management role
- Familiarity with Airtable, Sprout, and native publishing platforms
- Proven experience growing and engaging audiences on social
- Standout writing skills and the ability to adapt tone of voice across diverse audiences
- Fluency across Instagram, TikTok, X, and YouTube, with an eye for emerging platforms
- Excellent client communication skills
- Comfort leading meetings and managing multiple stakeholders
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
- Experience in moderating and managing sensitive or crisis conversations online
- Nice to have:
- Experience with emerging technologies
- Experience working with tech brands

The anticipated salary ranges for this position and subsequent locations are listed below. Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, expertise, physical location, and organizational impact. This is based on a 40-hour workweek and leveling. Keep in mind, we’re flexible.

$77,100—$110,000 USD
This is remote role, however you must be located within 50 miles of Atlanta, GA to be considered.

This is a hybrid office location with the expectation that you will need to go into the office 3 days week. You must be located within 50 miles of our Chicago, IL office located at: One South Wacker, 1 S Wacker Dr #2250, Chicago, IL 60606.

$84,100—$110,000 USD
This is a hybrid office location with the expectation that you will need to go into the office 3 days week. You must be located within 50 miles of our Boston, MA or Newburyport, MA offices located at: 35 India St, Boston, MA 02110; 20 Inn St, Newburyport, MA 01950

$84,100—$110,000 USD
This is remote role, however you must be located within 50 miles of New York, NY (tri-state area is ok) to be considered.
