Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in product design, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role
- A strong portfolio demonstrating design excellence across various products and platforms
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to align design strategies with business goals and technical constraints
- Experience mentoring and developing designers, fostering a positive and productive team culture
- Deep understanding of the end-to-end design process, from research to execution
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and influence at all levels of the organization
Responsibilities
- Ensure design excellence and set a high bar for quality across all products
- Oversee the end-to-end design process from ideation to delivery, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical feasibility
- Champion design best practices and foster a culture of creativity and continuous improvement
- Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other key stakeholders to align on vision, priorities, and execution
- Balance feature team needs with foundational UX, ensuring a cohesive user experience across the product ecosystem
- Serve as a thought leader in the 'Win and Close' space, influencing product strategy through innovative design solutions
- Inspire and manage a team of talented designers, fostering an environment of growth and collaboration
- Mentor and guide designers in their career development, helping them refine their craft and achieve their professional goals
- Contribute to the overall design culture at Apollo, promoting inclusivity, innovation, and creativity
- Align design strategies and execution with business outcomes, driving positive impact on user engagement and growth metrics
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure the design solutions are scalable, leveraging the full capabilities of the tech stack while understanding its limitations
- As a senior leader, play a key role in scaling the design team as the company and product offerings grow
