Job description

About Lightricks

Lightricks, an AI-first company, is revolutionizing how visual content is created. With a mission to bridge the gap between imagination and creation, Lightricks is dedicated to bringing cutting-edge technology to the creative and business spaces.

At the core of this role is LTXV, our open-source AI video generation model - already recognized as one of the top-performing models in the world. Built as a diffusion-transformer hybrid, LTXV enables controllable, high-fidelity video with expressive motion, stylistic precision, and frame-level intent - all at speeds that actually keep up with your ideas. But LTXV isn’t just a model - it’s the foundation of our entire creative ecosystem. From consumer favorites like Facetune to next-gen platforms like LTX Studio, it powers the future of video across formats, platforms, and audiences.

The Team & The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Developer Advocate, GenAI to build and nurture the developer community around our open-source model, LTXV. This role sits at the intersection of technical development, community engagement, and product strategy, requiring someone who can speak the language of developers while fostering meaningful connections within the AI community. Working directly with our founders, leading storytelling, advocacy, and experimentation at the bleeding edge of generative video.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Launch, moderate, and scale our Discord, GitHub, Hugging Face, and Reddit channels: setting the ground rules, tone, and contribution standards for the LTX Video community.

  • Publish authoritative technical content such as reference notebooks, ComfyUI workflows, OBS / Blender plug‑ins, video tutorials, and benchmark posts that help developers ship real products with LTX Video.

  • Serve as the voice of the user by collecting feedback, filing actionable GitHub issues, and shaping the model roadmap in close partnership with Research and Product.

  • Host high‑impact programs: monthly livestreams, AMAs, hackathons, and university workshops to drive adoption and spotlight showcase projects.

  • Forge strategic partnerships with cloud‑GPU providers, video‑editing platforms, and academic labs, delivering joint demos and case studies that expand LTX Video’s reach.

  • Own community analytics: define quarterly OKRs, instrument dashboards, and report on GitHub stars, forks, Discord DAU/MAU, API calls, and integration installs.

  • Run program management fundamentals: operate a contributor sponsorship & grants program, maintain developer documentation, and set internal best practices for open‑source release cadence and security review.

Your Skills & Experience

  • 4 + years in Developer Advocacy, DevRel, or technical community management - at least 2 years in AI/ML, computer‑vision or creative‑media tooling.
  • Hands‑on comfort with code: you can clone a repo, run a notebook, tweak a Python script, and explain what changed:  no need to be a full‑time engineer, but you’re credible when talking to one.
  • Proven community growth track‑record: launched or scaled Discord, Reddit or GitHub communities to thousands of engaged members and can speak to the KPIs you owned (stars, MAU, API calls, etc.).
  • Technical storytelling & content: experience writing docs, blog posts, or live‑streaming walkthroughs that help developers adopt new tech.
  • Cross‑functional collaborator: history of working with Engineering/Research and Marketing/Product teams to translate community insight into roadmap impact.
  • Excellent written and spoken English; able to adjust your depth for audiences that range from PhD researchers to brand marketers.
  • Self‑starter who enjoys autonomy and can prioritise without daily hand‑holding.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with video‑generation or diffusion frameworks (e.g., ComfyUI, FFmpeg‑CUDA, Runway, or similar).
  • Prior contribution to an open‑source ML project (even a small PR or README overhaul counts).
  • Comfortable planning and measuring quarterly OKRs for community programs.
  • Public‑speaking portfolio (conferences, podcasts, webinars) or on‑camera presenting experience.

Benefits

  • Expected salary range for this role is $150,000-200,000
  • Stock options
  • Health/dental/vision with majority of premiums paid by the company.
  • 401k with company match. (Up to 4%)
  • $3,000 per year provided for lunch.
  • $1,000 Yearly Learning, Development, and Wellness budget.
  • Work from home stipend.
  • 21 Days of PTO.
  • Birthdays off! Take a free day off during your birthday month to celebrate.
  • Talented teammates and a strong work culture, supporting a healthy work-life balance.
