As a Senior Product Designer at Bitwarden, you will help elevate the user experience for a product that millions love. We’re looking for someone who believes that security products can both protect users and be delightful and intuitive. You will collaborate with other product designers and product managers to conduct user research, craft solutions, and shape the overall product experience. Our ideal candidate has high attention to detail, is skilled in interaction design, and thrives in a highly collaborative environment.
Candidates should have a well-curated portfolio showcasing their UI and critical thinking skills.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-growing company and contribute to a premium product experience. Bitwarden is an all-remote team, and we’re looking for someone based in the U.S., with a preference for time zones that overlap the U.S. East Coast.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Research, design, and iterate concepts for new and existing product experiences
- Create low-fidelity wireframes, higher-fidelity prototypes, as well as production-ready designs for developer execution
- Design and prototype seamless, user-centric solutions across the Bitwarden platform (desktop, mobile, web, browser extension)
- Conduct and moderate customer and user feedback sessions
- Collaborate and facilitate critique sessions with Product Managers to a diverse stakeholder audience
- Partner with roles and teams across the company to identify opportunities for continuous user experience improvement and feedback
WHAT YOU BRING TO BITWARDEN
- 5+ years of experience in product design or equivalent experience
- Ability to communicate designs through sketches, wireframes, high fidelity mockups, and prototypes
- Expertise in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or other design tools (we primarily use Figma)
- Experience in planning and executing comprehensive user research and testing cycles
- Technical design expertise: designing systems and applying systems thinking
- Collaborative and adaptable mindset
- Demonstrated experience in influencing leadership regarding design direction by using data and user feedback to justify decisions
- Openness and authenticity, paired with strong communication skills
- Excitement and enthusiasm for open source and better internet security
- An online portfolio or examples of work showcasing a variety of artifacts created in developing UX solutions.

- Experience designing products for both B2C and B2B customers
- Content strategy or technical product writing skills
- Experience with WCAG guidelines

In the United States, the starting base compensation range for this role is $120,000 - $140,000. Actual compensation may vary based on level, relevant experience, and skill set as assessed in the interview process, as well as market data by location. See our careers page for a list of benefits.
