Job description
Spexi - Senior Product Marketing Manager
At Spexi, we’re revolutionizing accessibility to ultra-high-resolution geospatial imagery through cutting edge drone technology. We’re on a mission to empower individuals and businesses alike with unprecedented spatial insights. As we expand, we’re seeking a Senior Product Marketing Manager to join our marketing team.
We’re building a two-sided marketplace called the Spexi Platform, enabling pilots to fly missions and organizations to seamlessly request, manage, and retrieve imagery and spatial data. On the demand side, we’re focused on providing robust tools and integrations for customers to search, order, and consume geospatial data through APIs, dashboards, and GIS-ready formats.
We are searching for a results-driven marketer to own, advance, and accelerate the demand side of the business and shape how customers discover, engage with, and adopt our geospatial offerings. This includes enabling access through robust tools and integrations that allow users to search, order, and consume data via dashboards, GIS-ready formats, and API-based workflows. You bring a strategic mindset and hands-on execution ability, with a strong grasp of how to build and scale customer-centric programs that drive product awareness, adoption, and engagement.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong sense of ownership, leadership potential, and experience in geospatial, remote sensing or areal data companies. You take a data-informed approach to marketing, collaborate effectively across teams, and are motivated by the opportunity to mentor others while scaling impactful go-to-market programs.
Location:
This position offers remote work from the comfort of your home, with occasional in-office requirements at our office located on the 800 block of Powell Street, Vancouver, BC. Candidates in the greater Vancouver area will be given first consideration, followed by those in other parts of British Columbia, and then across Canada and the US. As the role evolves, some travel may also be required.
Compensation: $120,000 to $180,000 CAD a year
Responsibilities:
In this role, you will lead product launches and develop and execute go-to-market (GTM) strategies. You will take charge of positioning, messaging, sales and marketing enablement, and managing customer and lifecycle marketing initiatives. You will also drive demand generation programs, support product-led growth efforts, and contribute to pipeline development across key verticals.
Your focus will be on positioning Spexi’s geospatial data products and APIs, supporting adoption across industries, and evolving the systems that generate pipeline, drive product-led growth, and deepen customer engagement.
• Messaging & Positioning: Craft clear, compelling messaging that highlights the value of Spexi’s geospatial data products, APIs, and new capabilities. Tailor content across segments such as GIS analysts, ML teams, and real estate platforms, ensuring alignment across all channels.
• Go-to-Market Strategy: Lead go-to-market planning and execution for product launches, new data layers, and platform features. Develop strategic launch plans, coordinate cross-functional readiness, and deliver high-impact product releases.
• Sales & Marketing Enablement: Build and maintain a library of enablement assets including pitch decks, one-pagers, demo flows, and use-case guides. Partner with Sales and Growth teams to ensure consistent, value-driven communication throughout the customer journey.
• Customer & Market Insights: Collaborate closely with the Customer Success team to synthesize feedback, identify patterns, and surface actionable insights. Conduct competitive analysis to sharpen positioning and identify whitespace opportunities.
• Demand Generation: Own and optimize full-funnel demand generation across paid, organic, partner, and event channels. Work cross-functionally to refine ICPs, launch campaigns, manage the marketing calendar, and improve lead quality and conversion metrics.
• Customer Journey Enablement: Collaborate with Product and Customer Success to support the end-to-end customer journey. Create messaging and content that reinforces value at key moments across awareness, adoption, and engagement stages.
• Team Leadership: Support and mentor marketing team members, providing strategic guidance and day-to-day prioritization. Help lay the foundation for a high-performing, outcome-oriented marketing function.
• Performance & Optimization: Track and report on key marketing KPIs. Use performance data to inform decisions, identify areas for improvement, and continuously optimize programs for greater impact.
Qualifications:
• Product Marketing Expertise: 6–10+ years of experience in B2B SaaS, data platforms, APIs, or developer tools, with a proven ability to launch technical products and scale demand generation programs.
• Geospatial & Technical Domain Knowledge: Experience working with geospatial data, drone technology, or spatial AI. Comfortable marketing to technical users and communicating complex products clearly.
• Funnel Ownership: Demonstrated success driving marketing initiatives across the full customer journey—from awareness to activation to expansion.
• Messaging & Positioning Strength: Strong instincts in product marketing fundamentals including positioning, value articulation, storytelling, and segment-specific messaging.
• Exceptional Storytelling & Communication: Skilled storyteller with excellent writing and verbal communication abilities. You’ve developed case studies, marketing collateral, and messaging frameworks that drive action and engagement.
• Data-Driven Decision-Making: You use analytics, attribution tools, and research insights to shape strategy, inform prioritization, and optimize marketing performance.
• Strategic & Execution-Oriented: You connect the dots between customer needs, product capabilities, and market opportunities. You bring experience owning the demand side of the business—from driving awareness and positioning to generating pipeline and supporting product adoption.
• Collaborative Cross-Functional Partner: Proven success working with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Growth teams to drive alignment and impact.
• Team & Vendor Management: Direct experience managing internal team members as well as freelancers, agencies, and vendors. You lead with clarity, accountability, and a focus on results.
