Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Python Engineer to join a dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems that power some services & applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business requirements.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Involve with all aspects of software development, working to create and maintain the most reliable, secure, performant, and high throughput service for our customers;
- Design and implement scalable and efficient backend services using Python;
- Contribute to software design and architecture;
- Contribute to improvements in processes and deliverables that increase the effectiveness of the team in responding to customer and needs;
- Document and present your ideas and solutions thoroughly.
Essential Skills
- Python development experience;
- DB development experience, preferrable PostgreSQL;
- Experience with Databases and database design principles at cloud scale;
- Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes, tools, and Agile methodologies;
- Hands-on Experience with AWS or other cloud providers;
- Experience with continuous refactoring;
- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and experience working with a deployment pipeline;
- Familiarity with building scalable systems and services in the cloud;
- Experience with Git or equivalent distributed revision control systems;
- Experience with Node.js.
