Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Revenue Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this key role, you will support our revenue recognition process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting in accordance with ASC 606/IFRS15 and Centric’s internal policies. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong technical accounting skills and a passion for process improvement to make a significant impact in a fast-growing, collaborative environment.
As part of the Revenue Recognition Accounting Team, you will partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Sales, Legal, and Systems teams to ensure the integrity of revenue data and help shape the future of our financial operations. You’ll play a vital role in transforming and scaling our quote-to-cash process as we continue to expand globally.
Job Responsibilities:
- Will manage contract reviews to ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with GAAP and lead the preparation of accounting memos supporting revenue positions
- Manage the month-end revenue close process including creating and reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, allocations and final close analysis while preparing to deliver results and drivers to business unit leaders
- Collaborate with the Sr. Director – Revenue and Director – Technical Accounting & Sales Compensation to provide thought leadership and establish a long-term vision on the order-to-cash cycle for scalability.
- Develop, recommend and drive innovative process improvements that leverage technology and maximize overall efficiency while maintaining and strengthening internal controls
- Serve as the company’s subject matter expert on revenue accounting and prepare crisp, technical accounting documentation timely on new issues, leveraging external, professional resources to validate conclusions when required
- Establish scalable revenue processes, policies and procedures while being a business advisor to support the company’s overall strategic objectives and growth plan
- Collaborate on new initiatives; partner with Billing, Technical Accounting, Treasury and Legal teams as well as Sales to assess the impact on revenue recognition, operational impact, business risk and scalability
- Strong leadership skills with experience leading, coaching and developing a team of accounting professionals
What You’ve Done:
- 8+ years of experience in a revenue accounting role
- 5+ years in a direct people leader role where you led revenue teams
- 4+ years of direct experience in which you led or played a key role in operational efficiency
- CPA or CMA with in-depth knowledge of ASC 606 & IFRS 15.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Expert knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition principles.
- Advanced proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
- Demonstrated success in leading revenue teams through rapid growth with the ability to develop and execute effective strategies in a fast-paced environment.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting
- Active CPA or progress toward certification strongly preferred
- 3+ years of public accounting or industry experience, with a focus on revenue recognition (Big 4 experience is a plus)
- Solid understanding and hands-on experience with ASC 606
- Strong experience with Excel and large datasets; SQL or similar data tools are a plus
- Experience working with NetSuite ARM or similar ERP revenue modules is highly desirable
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with great business judgment
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Proven ability to collaborate across departments and communicate complex accounting topics clearly
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with multiple priorities
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $150,000 - $180,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. The range for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience and relevant education or training. Please note that the compensation details listed reflect the base salary and certain positions may be offered with additional variable incentives.
