Job Description
Eurofins Medical Device Services is seeking a dynamic, results-driven Senior Scientific Advisor, Packaging & Distribution Testing to help lead the expansion of our North American Medical Device Packaging Testing Division. This is a hunter role, focused on driving new business acquisition and accelerating revenue growth by targeting new logos and strategic opportunities across the medical device, biopharma, and consumer products sectors.
As a senior technical expert and commercial strategist, you will partner closely with field sales to identify prospects, uncover testing needs, deliver tailored solutions, and win business. This high-impact role blends deep scientific knowledge with a strong sales acumen, making it ideal for professionals who thrive on challenge, client engagement, and measurable growth outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively prospect, engage, and close new client relationships to drive top-line revenue growth and expand market share in the packaging and distribution testing space.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in packaging testing requirements for medical device, biopharmaceutical, and consumer product industries; experience in sterilization modalities is a plus.
- Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers and Key Account Managers to position Eurofins’ packaging services as a best-in-class solution, improving quote-to-win ratios.
- Lead the development of technical scopes of work and respond to RFQs/RFPs with compelling, scientifically robust proposals.
- Provide strategic insights to business development and operations leadership to ensure alignment of service offerings with market demands.
- Represent Eurofins at conferences, trade shows, and industry events to enhance visibility and establish thought leadership.
- Facilitate seamless handoffs to project management and operations teams, ensuring successful project execution and client satisfaction.
- Monitor the competitive landscape and market trends to support pricing strategy and service differentiation.
- Travel 30–50% to meet with clients, attend events, and support on-site collaboration with Eurofins teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Applied Sciences, or a related technical field.
- 2–5+ years of relevant experience in packaging testing within a Contract Testing Organization (CTO), CMO/CDMO, or medical device/pharma environment.
- Proven track record in technical sales, new business development, or consultative solution selling.
- Strong business acumen with a strategic mindset and the ability to navigate complex client needs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and build trust at all levels.
- Self-starter with strong leadership, initiative, and a collaborative approach.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related business tools.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction or sponsorship.
Additional Information
Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. (flexibility required). The position is remote, with preference for candidates based near a major airport for ease of travel.
