LastPass is looking for a Senior Security Engineer:
At LastPass, we empower users with secure and seamless password management and were looking for a Security Engineer to join our team. This role is at the intersection of security, automation, and reliability, where you’ll help shape our infrastructure using Terraform, automation, and security best practices.

Who will you work with?
Security Engineerswill regularly collaborate with various teams across the business, including Platform and Product Engineering, Security teams, Detection Analysts, Incident Response Analysts.
What are some of the exciting challenges you will be working on?
- Detection Engineering - Develop, maintain, and enhance security detection content to enable the detection of threats across diverse platforms.
- Observability: Enhance real-time monitoring and alerting using SIEM/SOAR tools to detect and mitigate threats proactively.
- Incident Management:Operating, maturing, and collaborating on Incident Response to protect the product.
- Drive Action able Intelligenceby operationalizing threat intelligence tooling and enrichment into meaningful signals for investigations.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) at Scale:Managing Terraform to automate and manage Security tools.
What does it take to work at LastPass?
- Experience with SIEM & SOAR.
- Proficiency in network/traffic analysis, investigations, and big data processing.
- Driveplaybook creation and automation in a code or low-code setting.
- Expert understanding of Incident Management and the ability to translate technical analysis into clear, actionable insights.
- Participating in an off-hours on-call rotation.
It’s great, but not required:
- Experience with compliance frameworks like SOC 2, ISO 27001, or NIST.
- Knowledge of WAFs, API security, and threat intelligence platforms.
- Infrastructure as a code mindset (Terraform), preferred and prioritized.
