ABOUT THE ROLE
Brinqa has an immediate need for a Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer who will be responsible for working with Software Engineers and other Quality Assurance team members to implement the quality assurance program supporting our product strategy. Brinqa is a growing company that needs passionate engineers who can help deliver high-quality, world-class risk management applications for some of the world’s largest enterprises.
The ideal candidate must have experience in UI and performance test automation for large-scale SaaS software solutions. As an engineer in this role, you will design and implement the tests and tooling to ensure that our risk management platform meets the designated quality and performance metrics before release. You will be expected to perform both manual and automated testing based on the maturity of the code base you are testing. You will collaborate with Software Engineers, UX Designers, and Product Managers to help set the standard for the quality of our products. Additionally, you will mentor junior-level QA Engineers and collaborate with Software Engineers to ensure a shared understanding of our quality goals. The position reports directly to a Manager of Software QA Engineering or above.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Implement the tooling and processes required to support the testing program
- Design tests that meet our product quality certification requirements
- Develop tests to provide feedback on the quality of our products before release
- Champion processes that support team-led work planning, value delivery, and predictable execution
- Participate in planning sessions that ensure quality objectives are well-understood so that standards and metrics are established
- Deliver predictable operational support for both internal and external consumers of our technologies
- Assisting in building a highly-capable team based on great talent identification and recruiting
- Help ensure that the engineering team is happy, prolific, and autonomous
- Maximize the productivity of our technologies by assisting in the development of technical documentation
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- 5+ years of technical, hands-on expertise in software quality assurance
- 2+ years of QA automation work experience
- Cloud-delivered, SaaS software quality assurance experience
- Ability to work in any area of testing (UI, load, performance, API, etc.)
- Professional work experience in testing Java web applications
- Working knowledge of SQL and database architectures
- Thorough understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies and secure code testing
- Able to operate in a fast-paced, product early-stage environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Sciences, Math or Engineering

- Experience in cybersecurity
- Experience testing enterprise applications
- Experience testing cybersecurity or IT systems management applications
- Master’s or Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
