Salary Range: $180,000 – $230,000 + Bonus + RSU + Comprehensive Benefits

Job Description:
As a Senior Staff Software Engineer – Risk Platform, you will play a pivotal role in designing and building the next generation of risk technology at a leading global fintech company. You will be a key technical leader, responsible for shaping the architecture, driving hands-on development, and guiding cross-functional collaboration across engineering, product, data, and compliance teams. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing systems that power the company’s AI-enhanced Risk Platform, all while maintaining a high bar for technical excellence, innovation, and team mentorship.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and scale the company’s next-gen Risk Platform in close partnership with senior engineering and product leaders
- Lead end-to-end design, development, deployment, and operations of risk services and systems
- Collaborate across teams including AI, Data, Risk & Compliance, and Product to deliver secure and innovative solutions
- Mentor engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning
- Drive observability, platform reliability, and operational readiness in a cloud-native environment
- Set long-term technical direction and champion modern engineering practices
Requirements:
- 10+ years of backend software engineering with experience building and scaling distributed systems
- Strong hands-on expertise in microservices, AWS/Azure, Kubernetes, serverless (e.g. Lambda), and modern CI/CD
- Experience leading complex platform initiatives with cross-functional collaboration
- Background in risk systems, payments, or other highly regulated domains is a plus
- Excellent communication, mentorship, and decision-making skills
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field; Master’s/PhD is a plus
