About your Team

Growth Marketing at Teachable focuses on bringing more creators to our platform by optimizing each step of the growth funnel. We work closely with Product, Partnerships and Brand & Content, in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. We embrace testing new hypotheses, fail fast and quickly apply those learnings through a very data-driven approach. We’re always adapting as both our company and industry continue to evolve, while keeping the ultimate goal of connecting with and supporting creators.

What is the role?

We’re hiring an SEO Lead  who not only excels at traditional SEO but also thrives in leveraging cutting-edge AI technologies to supercharge growth. You’ll report directly to the Senior Lead, Acquisition, collaborating cross-functionally with teams in content, paid marketing, product, engineering, and analytics to build advanced, AI-driven SEO strategies that elevate Teachable’s visibility and organic growth.

You’ll be at the forefront of integrating AI tools and workflows ranging from generative AI for content ideation to advanced analysis tools for keyword discovery, intent mapping, and competitive intelligence. You’re comfortable pushing beyond traditional SEO to proactively experiment, iterate, and innovate with AI.

In this role you’ll:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive, AI-enhanced SEO strategies that achieve measurable growth in organic acquisition and engagement
  • Prototype and launch AI-powered workflows to improve speed, personalization, and targeting in SEO content and site optimization (e.g., GPT-generated recommendations, automated keyword clustering, or AI-driven content briefs)
  • Build and ship MVPs of growth experiments using no-code/low-code tools (e.g., Retool, Zapier, or Vercel) or custom scripts independently
  • Automate repetitive SEO workflows, from content audits and performance reporting to competitive intelligence gathering and technical SEO monitoring
  • Leverage APIs, webhooks, and LLMs to create scalable, smarter SEO infrastructure
  • Act as an internal multiplier by sharing tools, playbooks, and internal agents that help marketing and content teams move faster
  • Collaborate closely with design, product, and analytics teams to test and refine AI-driven strategies that unlock new organic growth opportunities
  • Educate internal stakeholders on AI-enhanced SEO best practices and support teams in adopting new AI tools and workflows
  • Continuously explore new AI trends, tools, and techniques to maintain a competitive advantage in organic search

What you’ll bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in SEO, ideally within fast-paced growth environments, with demonstrated results
  • Proven experience integrating and leveraging AI and generative AI tools in SEO workflows
  • Deep understanding of traditional and technical SEO paired with expertise in emerging AI-driven SEO methodologies
  • Fluent in tools like GPT-4, Zapier, Retool, Notion, Airtable, Python, Javascript, SQL, LangChain, Vercel, or equivalents (flexibility with tech stack is preferred)
  • Strong analytical skills and capable of deriving actionable insights from complex datasets
  • Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders, fostering a culture of experimentation and innovation
  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms, particularly Webflow (knowledge of AI integrations into content management systems preferred)
  • Bias toward shipping and rapid prototyping (a proactive mindset focused on outcomes and continuous learning)

Nice to have:

  • Prior experience working in a B2B SaaS or creator economy growth team

Additional details:

At Teachable, we are committed to providing fair and competitive pay (using market data to inform our pay bands), rewarding high performance, and ensuring all employees have the opportunity and ability to impact Teachable’s overall company value. Base salaries will be reviewed at regular intervals throughout the year, typically following performance review cycles currently conducted bi-annually or in conjunction with a promotion.

  • This role is open to candidates who can work remotely in the U.S. and work east-coast hours.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
  • For this role, the base salary range is $100,000 to $110,000. A salary offer will be determined by a number of factors including experience, skill level, education, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all teammate pay and compensation programs regularly to ensure competitive and fair pay.

While Teachable maintains our NY office for local employees to use, we operate as a remote-first culture in order to give our employees added flexibility.
