The SEO Specialist role offers an exciting opportunity to drive meaningful impact by shaping and optimizing the online presence of your assigned scope. In this dynamic position, you’ll work closely with business teams and technology partners to deeply understand their organic search goals and craft tailored strategies to measure, improve, and execute on key growth areas. Through your efforts, you’ll elevate our brand portfolio’s visibility within search engines, leveraging techniques like enhanced copywriting, precise tagging, and innovative optimization practices to achieve measurable results.

As a valued member of the collaborative SEO Guild, you’ll actively share insights and work alongside a network of talented SEO Specialists and technology professionals, fostering innovation and continuous improvement. Your responsibilities will include crafting high-performing SEO copy, designing effective tags that boost visibility while enhancing accessibility, and contributing to the development and use of cutting-edge in-house SEO tools. These tools, powered by generative AI, will enable you to excel in tasks such as keyword research, optimized content creation, and delivering timely reports on SEO performance trends. Together, these efforts will ensure a lasting positive impact on the digital strategy and success of your assigned scope.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Marketing, or related field; or equivalent education and work experience

  • At least (3) three years of experience in SEO/SEM, digital product, and web design

  • Previous experience working with an enterprise web analytics platform (e.g. Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics) and Google business

  • Previous experience working with web technologies and HTML-based code frameworks

  • Resident in a time zone whose standard workday has a 6-hour overlap with the 9-5 work hours of the Pacific timezone; South

  • America and North America

Preferred Credentials

  • Previous experience with digital or web analytics for a hospitality or travel company

  • Previous experience working in a resort industry setting

  • Master’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics, or Statistics

  • Strong understanding of search algorithms and how various content and linking strategies affect results

  • Working knowledge of how to manage multiple business entities with Google’s business platforms

  • Ability to partner with the assigned business team, IT, and digital design to identify specific landing page strategies to maximize search exposure

  • Excellent communication skills (English)

  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all stakeholders and partners

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to multitask on different tasks; copywriting, projects, research, and reporting

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operation of GMB and SEO/SEM analytics efforts to improve organic search results through various SEO techniques

  • Collaborate with assigned business teams to identify strategies to maximize search exposure, including local search (GMB - Google My Business)

  • Make recommendations to improve site and internal/external linking architecture, page construction, meta-data, content, and SEO copywriting

  • Create, manage, and distribute data and insights via regular and ad-hoc reporting utilizing online analytic tools as well as traditional BI platforms; publish reporting and analytics on keyword analysis and search performance to internal stakeholders

  • Help identify, develop and implement processes and procedures to regularly test and improve search performance

  • Keep abreast of new features and functionality released within our analytics platforms and recommend how to best utilize these to grow our knowledge

  • Provide thought leadership in the area of search engine optimization

  • Backlinks - audit and manage backlinks. Keep high-quality and disavow low quality. We have 800K of these and have no idea who is pointing to us

  • Manage Technical SEO - page speed, broken links, responsiveness

  • On-Page Optimizations - optimize tags, and meta-data

  • Competitive Analysis - analyze competitors and recommend improvements we can make

  • Keyword Research - determine keywords that our guests use and make recommendations for on-page optimizations
