We’re looking for a SEO Strategist to join our team. The position is fully remote, with flexible hours, but operating mainly on South African business hours.
The position is within a new agency brand (Adventure Travel Digital) launched recently, focusing on the adventure travel niche. It’s part of a 17-year-old established international digital marketing agency called CleverClicks. We are gaining excellent traction in the market and are growing the team (currently 11 people). You’ll work on a mix of travel and non-travel clients across both brands.
Your tasks will encompass but not be limited to:
Own the SEO strategy for your clients. Oversee the execution of SEO work to ensure we deliver on revenue growth targets
You have experience in knowing how to optimise websites for top search engine results. You’ll be responsible for shaping the strategy and ensuring execution stays on track, always with an eye on what really matters: growing leads and revenue.
Own keyword research and on-page SEO
You’ve got a rock-solid understanding of always finding the right keywords to target and knowing how to optimise for them. From uncovering high-impact keywords that clients can realistically rank for to crafting smart page structures and content pillars, your work helps pages rank and drive revenue.
Run confident, engaging client meetings and keep emails sharp
You enjoy explaining the why behind the numbers. Meetings are useful, not waffly. Written comms are clear, concise, and always on point. You get a kick from presenting to and enjoy educating clients.
Deliver insightful monthly client reports
You’ll create monthly reports that show a deep understanding and tell a story about your clients’ results. You will be an expert in using tools like GA4, Google Search Console and SEMrush to generate your report commentary. No fluff. Just clear insights and action steps.
Spot issues early and act fast.
If something’s off in the data, you’re on it. You don’t wait to be asked – you flag it, investigate it (using your advanced GSC & GA skills), and plan out solutions.
Adapt strategies for AI Overviews and emerging SERP features
You stay ahead of how AI is reshaping search. From optimising for AI Overviews to tackling zero-click results, you’re ready to adjust strategies so clients stay visible and competitive.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Have 3+ client-facing years under your belt with strong communication and presentation skills and a love for fostering exceptional client relationships. You enjoy presenting to clients, as well as writing succinct emails about complex matters.
- Spent 3+ years with a strong background in managing SEO strategies for companies with multiple locations.
- High proficiency in GA4, GSC and SEMRush (or similar)
- You are super curious about AI. You have mastered the art of featuring in AI overviews and have already experimented with various AI tools to produce higher-quality work and create work efficiencies. You are champing at the bit to learn more!
