The Points Guy is on the hunt for a Social Media Assistant who can help us soar on Instagram Stories, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), and Threads. What You’ll do:
Platform Management
- Craft and execute strategies for Instagram Stories, Facebook, X, and Threads that align with our brand’s unique identity and keep our audience engaged.
- Create and schedule eye-catching content tailored to each platform, focusing on visual storytelling and meaningful community engagement.
- Stay ahead of the curve with the latest trends, features and best practices to keep our organic reach and engagement flying high.
- Keep the conversation going by actively engaging with our community across all platforms.
Content Development & Collaboration
- Work closely with the Creative, Editorial, and Partnerships teams to build seamless content strategies that support both brand and partner objectives.
- Exploring opportunities for revenue-impacting projects that align with our brand vibe and captivate our audience.
- Use analytics tools to track performance metrics, uncover insights and generate reports to fine-tune our strategies and elevate future campaigns.
- Help prepare and deliver engaging presentations and reports for internal stakeholders on content strategies and platform performance.
What We’re looking for:
- 1-2 years of experience in a social media role, focusing on content creation and platform management for Instagram Stories, Facebook, X, and Threads.
- Strong understanding of each platform’s unique features and engagement strategies.
- Excellent written and visual communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and design.
- Ability to analyze data and transform insights into actionable strategies.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills for developing innovative content ideas.
- Enthusiasm for learning and growing.
- Travel is a key part of this role. You must have a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.

Compensation
- USA Compensation Range: $55,000-$60,000*
- New York City Compensation Range: $55,000-$80,000*
*Note actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications, and experience.
