We’re looking for a creative, energetic, and culturally plugged-in Social Media Content Creator to bring our brand to life across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and beyond. You’ll work closely with our growth marketing manager to turn strategy into scroll-stopping content—whether that’s a skit, a meme, a voiceover video, or a story series that reflects the unique experiences of the diaspora communities we serve. This is a 6month contract with a possibility of extension

This is a hands-on, ideas-driven role for someone who lives and breathes content, has an eye for trends, and understands how to speak to communities with authenticity and respect.

What You’ll Do

  • Create original, engaging, and culturally relevant video content (primarily for IG, FB and TikTok)
  • Collaborate with the Social Media Manager to brainstorm ideas, trends, and series concepts
  • Appear on camera and/or edit footage of others if/when needed
  • Adapt content formats across platforms (Reels, Stories, TikTok, YouTube Shorts)
  • Stay on top of platform trends, audio, challenges, and viral formats
  • Help source or work with community voices or micro-creators as needed
  • Maintain the brand voice while bringing your own flavor to it

What We’re Looking For

  • A strong portfolio or examples of short-form video content (bonus if you’ve created content for diaspora or cultural brands)
  • Confidence being on camera and telling stories that connect emotionally
  • Experience using tools like CapCut, InShot, Adobe Creative Suite and AI tools
  • A feel for how to turn big ideas into bite-sized, social-first content
  • Strong grasp of internet culture, meme language, and platform nuance
  • Comfortable working independently and meeting deadlines

Nice to Have

  • Fluency or familiarity with diaspora communities across Africa, the Caribbean, or Latin America
  • Experience working in fintech, remittances, or community-based brands
  • Bonus if you speak another language (French, Spanish, etc.)
