About the Company
Hi, we’re Ondo Finance. Our mission is to provide institutional-grade, blockchain-enabled investment products and services. We have both a technology arm that develops decentralized finance technology, and an asset management arm that creates and manages tokenized funds. We were the first company to tokenize exposure to US Treasuries, and have since expanded into several other assets. We are also focused on incubating protocols that can support both tokenized real-world assets and traditional crypto.

We are currently the leaders in the space in terms of AUM and are well capitalized to continue growing the firm. We’re fully remote, with team members across the U.S.
About the Role
We’re looking for an outstanding Solana Smart Contract Engineer to help architect, build, and deploy smart contracts that power the next generation of tokenized real-world asset infrastructure. You will focus on the Solana blockchain collaborating with a high-caliber team across engineering, product, and strategy.
This role is best suited for a U.S.-based engineer who thrives in lean, high-impact environments and has a proven history of engineering excellence.
Target outcomes
•Architect and ship robust, secure, and gas-efficient smart contracts on Solana.
•Successfully deploy Solana-based protocols that interact with tokenized real-world assets.
•Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure contract design aligns with regulatory and product goals.
•Bring Solana engineering best practices to the team and raise the bar on code quality, security, and maintainability.
•Help Ondo establish a leadership position within the Solana development ecosystem.
Responsibilities
•Design, build, and maintain smart contracts in Rust using Solana’s SVM architecture.
•Own technical design decisions and lead implementation for Solana-related features and protocols.
•Contribute to protocol architecture and application-layer integrations across chains.
•Work closely with security auditors to ensure contract safety and compliance.
•Develop internal tooling to support testing, simulation, and deployment pipelines for smart contracts.
•Collaborate with product, legal, and operations to align technical implementation with strategic goals.
Requirements
•Based in the United States, but open to remote.
•Demonstrated experience deploying production-grade Solana smart contracts.
•Deep understanding of Rust, Anchor, and the SVM.
•Ability to work independently, manage project complexity, and own features end-to-end.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to haves
•Experience contributing to open-source Solana projects or DeFi protocols.
•Familiarity with multi-chain interoperability and bridging.
•Understanding of DeFi primitives like liquidity pools, staking, governance, etc.
•Prior work with real-world asset tokenization or regulatory-compliant smart contracts.
•Exposure to TypeScript and front-end contract integration tooling.
