In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately translating patient medical documents into medical codes, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and facilitating smooth communication between healthcare providers and billing teams. Your bilingual skills will be essential in bridging language gaps and ensuring that documentation is handled effectively for both English and Spanish-speaking patients. Responsibilities
- Efficiently translate and code medical documentation from Spanish and English for accurate billing and insurance claims
- Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes to diagnoses, treatments, and procedures related to diverse patient cases
- Assist clinic/practice managers and staff with queries concerning coding and billing to optimize processes
- Identify and rectify inconsistencies or incomplete documentation by collaborating with healthcare providers
- Conduct audits to resolve coding denials and to verify that documentation is complete and accurate
- Maintain a systematic recording of coded charts to ensure proper organization and tracking of all cases
- Research coding regulations and guidelines to uphold high standards of quality in all submissions
- Engage in best practices for ensuring comprehensive coding documentation processes

Must be AAPC/AHIMA certified coder
Fluency in both Spanish and English, with strong communication skills
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Medical Coding within a US healthcare setting
Deep understanding of US Insurance Plan Structure and HIPAA regulations
Exceptional detail-oriented approach for accurate coding and compliance
Willingness to work in US time zones (graveyard shift)
