The Role
BeyondTrust is seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer to lead the evolution of the Identity Security Insights product within our cloud offering. You will play a key role in shaping and delivering beautiful, intuitive, and performant at scale UIs for our enterprise customers. This role emphasizes modern front-end architecture, accessibility, and seamless user interactions across our SaaS offerings. You will drive the technical direction of the UI platform, working closely with design, product, and backend teams to build secure and extensible front-end solutions that solve complex identity and security challenges at scale.
What You’ll Do
- Architect, build, and maintain modern, scalable front-end applications using a componentized design system and cutting-edge frameworks.
- Lead technical direction for UI initiatives, driving high-quality user experience across complex cloud-based enterprise applications.
- Evaluate and introduce emerging technologies, frameworks and patterns.
- Collaborate with product and UX teams to translate complex workflows into simple, performant, and accessible interfaces.
- Own and evolve the front-end architecture to ensure it is maintainable, testable, secure, and aligned with cloud-native delivery.
- Mentor engineers and promote front-end best practices in performance optimization, security, accessibility, and usability.
- Partner with backend and platform teams to design APIs and interactions that optimize performance and user feedback loops.
- Contribute to platform-wide modernization and developer experience improvements with a focus on front-end tooling and CI/CD integration.
What You’ll Bring
- Deep expertise in modern front-end development with frameworks like React, Angular, Vue, Next.js, etc.
- Strong TypeScript and JavaScript fundamentals with a focus on reusable, testable components and scalable architecture.
- Knowledge of micro frontends and modular architectures.
- Experience with large-scale enterprise UI systems and patterns (e.g., monorepos, design systems, SSR, hydration).
- Familiarity with backend integration patterns, REST/GraphQL APIs, and front-end performance tradeoffs.
- Expert level knowledge of CSS and responsive design principles.
- Strong experience with reactive data and state management (rxjs, signals, etc)
- Understanding of cloud-native environments and how front-end apps integrate with CI/CD, monitoring, and observability.
- Demonstrated leadership in driving technical initiatives or projects with multiple engineers across cross-functional teams.
- Experience with security, authentication flows, and accessibility (a11y) best practices in web applications.
- Familiarity with data visualization and dashboard frameworks (e.g., D3, Chart.js, Highcharts) is a plus.
