Summary
The job is for a software engineer to lead the development of iterative.ai's flagship DVC product and ecosystem. The role requires strong Python skills, experience in building dev-tools, maintaining open source software, and system programming. Remote work is expected with excellent communication skills and time management abilities.
Requirements
- Motivation and interest - devtools space, Machine Learning and Data science space, Python ecosystem, storage and data systems
- Remote work self-discipline
- Excellent communication skills - clear, constructive, and respectful dialog with other team members, community, and leadership
- Ability to manage your time, define, spec-out and deliver large tasks and features
- Experience working remotely in Agile and dynamic teams
- Open source contributions and experience in maintaining projects (OSS)
- System programming experience - kernel-level, virtualization, databases, filesystems, etc
Responsibilities
- Lead efforts around the development of our flagship DVC product and ecosystem
- Write code, docs, blog posts, and public updates about features and engineering challenges
- Work directly with management and founders to translate the vision into working functionality
- Be actively involved in the community, supporting users on Github, Discord, forum, understanding their workflows, and demoing and mocking user projects
Preferred Qualifications
Strongly prefer: Some Machine Learning or Data Science experience
