About the Job:

As a Strategic Solutions Engineer at LaunchDarkly, you are the trusted advisor to clients, tackling their key challenges with our products. You excel in active listening, prioritize customer success, and demonstrate profound technical expertise with a customer-centric focus. In this role, you will contribute significantly to the growth of LaunchDarkly, helping leading global companies enhance their software development practices. Responsibilities:

  • Inspire prospects with our software: Help make business decision makers, practitioners and the broader community enthusiastic champions through excellent demos and talks

  • Identify pain and design solutions: Identify LaunchDarkly prospects’ largest problems and design solutions to solve them

  • Lead successful evaluations: Lead exceptional, curated evaluations of the LaunchDarkly platform

  • Ensure adoption: Partner with customers to make the LaunchDarkly adoption path clear

  • Partner with Sales: Form effective partnerships rooted in your grasp of selling frameworks

  • Be a trusted expert: Become an authority. Bring valuable insight about LaunchDarkly and its surrounding ecosystem to each conversation. Follow through on your commitments.

  • Advocate for our customers: Be the voice of the customer to our Product and Engineering teams

  • Spend time with the customer: 25-50% travel may be required to spend time in person with customers and colleagues

Qualifications:

  • 3+ Years experience with the development processes and needs of large enterprise and strategic customers

  • Led technical trials that resulted in significant deals for your company

  • Experienced in demoing technical solutions to VP & C-Level audiences

  • Proven success in cultivating customer champions

  • Proficient in sales frameworks (MEDDPICC or similar)

  • Have led land and expand initiatives with your customers

  • 25% travel required

Pay:

T arget pay ranges based on Geographic Zones* for Level P4:

  • Zone 1: San Francisco/Bay Area or New York City Metropolitan Area: $210,000 - $280,000** On Target Earnings (OTE) includes base pay and commission
  • Zone 2: Boston, DC, Irvine, LA, Monterey, Santa Barbara, Santa Rosa, Seattle: $190,000 - $250,000** On Target Earnings (OTE) includes base pay and commission
  • Zone 3: All other US locations: $180,000 - $235,000** On Target Earnings (OTE) includes base pay and commission

T arget pay ranges based on Geographic Zones* for Level P5:

  • Zone 1: San Francisco/Bay Area or New York City Metropolitan Area: $235,000 - 315,000** On Target Earnings (OTE) includes base pay and commission
  • Zone 2: Boston, DC, Irvine, LA, Monterey, Santa Barbara, Santa Rosa, Seattle: $215,000 - 280,000** On Target Earnings (OTE) includes base pay and commission
  • Zone 3: All other US locations: $200,000 - 265,000** On Target Earnings (OTE) includes base pay and commission

LaunchDarkly operates from a place of high trust and transparency; we are happy to state the pay range for our open roles to best align with your needs. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

*Within the United States, our geographic pay zones are defined by counties surrounding major metropolitan areas.

**Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), health, vision, and dental insurance, and mental health benefits in addition to salary.
