Feature management platform for software delivery: feature flags, experimentation, and AI configuration

About LaunchDarkly

We were founded in 2014 by Edith Harbaugh and John Kodumal in Oakland, California. We built a feature management platform to help teams deliver software more efficiently.

Our platform lets development teams release new features gradually to specific user segments across various platforms. This allows for safer releases, speeds up cloud adoption, and improves teamwork between technical and business teams.

Our tools include feature flags, observability, experimentation, analytics, and AI configuration. They help reduce release risks and outages. We provide tools for targeting and segmenting users, rolling out features gradually, managing the lifecycle of feature flags, and managing AI prompts, models, and agents. Monitoring tools include performance thresholds, error alerts, automated feature rollback, stack traces, and session replay. For iteration, we support feature-based experiments, analyze product signals and user behavior, provide robust data analysis, and offer warehouse-native implementation.

Our platform integrates into developer workflows. We offer over 35 native SDKs, CLI support, IDE plugins, and more than 80 integrations. Daily, we process up to 45 trillion feature flags and have evaluated 11 quadrillion flags in production settings. We serve over 5,500 customers, including a quarter of the Fortune 500. We’ve been on the Forbes Cloud 100 list, InfoWorld’s 2021 Technology of the Year list, and the Enterprise Tech 30 list.
