Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain scalable and secure applications using Kubernetes (AKS) within Azure
- Implement and manage load balancing algorithms to ensure optimal performance and resource utilization
- Enforce security best practices for containerized applications and cluster management
- Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to automate and replicate environments efficiently
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Kubernetes solutions into broader federal healthcare projects
- Provide ongoing maintenance and support for Kubernetes environments, including upgrades and patches
- Conduct technology evaluations and provide recommendations for new tools, technologies, and frameworks that can enhance our infrastructure
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth
Preferred Qualifications
- A previous software developer background is preferred
- Experience programming C# (.NET) or Java. is a plus
