Job Description
About the role
We are currently looking for a (Senior) Tax Business Analyst to join our new business area – Taxes – in the Shared Service Center (GSC) in Szczecin. The person will be responsible for supporting our tax team in implementing technology solutions to change the current taxation processes, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with corporate objectives.
Your responsibilities
Supporting tax technology projects under supervision of Tax Transformation Leader
Collaborating with stakeholders to identify, gather and document business needs related to tax processes with a primary focus on global indirect tax requirements
Translating business requirements into functional specifications for technical teams, preparation of functional design documentation
Support in evaluation, mapping, implementation and testing of tax technology solutions
Analyzing datasets to ensure correct results on indirect tax determination and reporting
Analyzing existing tax workflows and systems to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement
Analyzing changes in tax laws, value flows and business transactions that may affect technology solutions used or create a new business need in this regard
Configuring and customizing tax technology platforms to align with business needs
Creating and handling tax technology documentation, including manuals and training slides
Qualifications
Our requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience as business analyst in tax area and proven track record of involvement in relevant projects
Basic knowledge of tax compliance requirements with focus on VAT tax laws and ability to perform legal research
Willingness to engage in the field of technology development for tax settlement processes
Strong analytical capabilities for effective data interpretation and process improvement
Experience with SAP (preferred) and advanced business use of MS Excel, including VBA
Experience with robotic process automation (RPA) tools and AI methodologies will be a strong asset
Experience in tax technology platforms / tax engines, such as Oracle, Vertex, Avalara is preferred
Good knowledge and/or strong desire to learn new technologies (such as SQL, visualization tools, data analytics, Python)
Fluent in English and Polish. Any additional foreign language will be a plus
