Summary Description
As a member of our Tax team, you will be empowered to work directly with our clients and members of our team to provide a broad spectrum of tax and related advisory services. You will enhance processes and systems to improve the productivity and growth of the firm, leverage accounting and support professionals to provide exceptional client service, and lead by example through demonstration of initiative, vision, resourcefulness, and independent thinking. Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining and supporting key client relationships totaling $3-4M in billings
- Oversees tax engagements including planning, delegating, and troubleshooting
- Provide valuable advisory services and ideas to clients during formal and informal planning meetings
- Perform final reviews for select tax returns based on team and client requirements, expertise, and risk profiles
- Participates in a growth-oriented culture with a commitment to expanding RS&F’s tax practice
- Seek opportunities to expand our services to clients and prospects
Requirements
- 12+ years of leadership experience with a well-established public accounting firm in the mid-market or higher
- Demonstrates extensive knowledge of individual, partnership, and corporate tax return preparation as well as tax planning and tax research
- Successfully manages and expands client relationships upwards of $2M in aggregate billings
- BS in accounting or related field with an active CPA license required
- Advanced degree in accounting, tax or law preferred
- Experience with CCH Axcess, Engagement Manager, BNA and other tax preparation / research software
- Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, follow-up, and oral/written communication skills
- Acts and makes decisions with professionalism, integrity and an entrepreneurial mindset
$200,000 - $250,000 a year
This role is available for candidates seeking both hybrid (in Maryland) or remote work. The listed base salary range is for Maryland.
