What You Can Do for Us
- Build and lead a development team to deliver world-class e-commerce solutions while driving hands-on technical contributions
- Drive technical implementation using Next.js, React, Python, Node.js, and Microsoft SQL Server
- Oversee DevOps operations across Heroku, Vercel, and Azure platforms
- Ensure clean, maintainable code standards while mentoring team members
- Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and internal Software Development teams to define requirements and assess technical feasibility
- Manage diverse technical challenges across front-end, back-end, and QA engineering disciplines
- Apply 5+ years of development team management experience to optimize team performance and delivery
Who We’re Looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, related field, or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of full-stack development experience across server-side and client-side technologies
- Proven management and leadership experience with strong mentorship skills
- Proactive problem-solving approach across multiple projects
- Deep understanding of technology impact on users and stakeholders
- Experience leading collaborative, innovative team environments
- Ability to serve as technology domain expert to internal stakeholders
Location
- Boston, MA or Portsmouth, NH. Remote/hybrid with monthly leadership meetings in Boston and occasional in-person collaboration in Boston and Portsmouth.
Technical Requirements
- Expert-level proficiency in Next.js, React, and TypeScript
- Extensive experience developing RESTful and GraphQL APIs in Python
- Proven ability to convert Figma designs to responsive, cross-browser CSS using modern techniques (Flexbox, Grid, custom properties)
- Experience with CSS frameworks including SCSS, Tailwind, and PostCSS
- Strong background in cloud services (Heroku, Vercel, Azure) and cloud architecture
- Experience with test-driven development for front-end and back-end, emphasizing integration testing
- Proficiency in CI/CD processes
Bonus Qualifications
- Microsoft stack experience (C# .NET Core, SQL Server)
- Headless CMS platforms (Contentful)
- CRM systems (HubSpot)
- Product development platforms (Amplitude) including feature flags, A/B testing, and analytics
- SEO strategies, page speed optimization and web analytics knowledge
