Summary
The job is a volunteer role for a Professional Skills Mentor at TEEI, an NGO in Norway, focusing on educating and empowering disadvantaged girls and Ukrainians affected by the war. The mentor will provide one-on-one or group sessions to help students improve their skills and achieve their goals.
Requirements
- Experience in teaching, tutoring, or mentoring in your area of expertise
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement personalized learning plans
- Proficiency with online communication tools
- Passion for education and helping underprivileged communities
- Fluency in English, both verbally and in writing
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one or small group mentoring sessions on professional skills topics you are proficient in
- Develop personalized learning plans and set achievable goals for mentees
- Offer guidance, support, and resources to help mentees progress in their learning journey
- Monitor mentees' progress and provide constructive feedback
- Collaborate with other volunteers and staff to share best practices and improve mentoring strategies
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Education or in your field of expertise; or equivalent practical experience
- Experience or training in working with diverse populations or underprivileged communities, with an understanding of cultural nuances and sensitivity to different backgrounds
