AI is transforming the way we work, the way we develop products, and the way we operate the business.

We believe AI capabilities should be built everywhere across ServiceNow because compelling use cases apply to every role and team!

The talent to build our AI-enabled future is working in every business function, and in Digital Technology we will build the ecosystem that powers their success. At the center of this AI ecosystem, we must bring the enterprise program together so that it is seamless, sustainable, and creates exponential value.

The VP, AI will bring technical and thought leadership in AI’s future, establish common rules for development, deployment, governance of AI, ensure we’re pursuing the most promising use cases, and insist that investments in AI deliver value.

The outcome is to transform the way we run ServiceNow with AI.

Responsibilities:

  1. Bring together the Enterprise AI program by shaping and coalescing AI use cases across the company and ensuring organizational alignment
  2. Establish the protocols and platform for scalable federated AI development across ServiceNow
  3. Ensure the governance of data sets and AI models with focus on risk management, performance management of the models, and value management
  4. Educate the company on AI, use-case applications, and provide thought-leadership in human-machine interaction, adoption and value realization
  5. Build AI capability within the Digital Technology organization, custom models, and leverage 3rd party AI applications and tools to help build a comprehensive AI tech stack
  6. Influence ServiceNow business and technology cultures to orient towards AI
  7. Define and communicate the vision, roadmaps, strategy, and execution of AI initiatives across the company.
  8. Oversee a team of AI engineers, researchers, and program managers, and collaborate with other senior leaders and stakeholders to deliver innovative and impactful AI solutions that enhance the company’s products, services, and operations.
  9. Deliver AI solutions, such as customer satisfaction, revenue growth, cost reduction, and operational efficiency.
  10. Establish and manage the AI budget, resources, distributed development, and priorities, and ensure alignment with the company’s strategic goals and objectives.
  11. Build and mentor a high-performing AI team that fosters a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
  12. Drive the development and deployment of AI solutions that address the company’s business challenges and opportunities and deliver measurable value and competitive advantage.
  13. Ensure the quality, reliability, scalability, and security of the AI solutions, and adhere to the best practices and standards of AI ethics and governance.
  14. Stay abreast of the latest trends, developments, and best practices in the AI field, and leverage external partnerships, networks, and resources to enhance the company’s AI capabilities and reputation.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field, with a focus on AI, machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, or related areas.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in leading and managing AI projects and teams in a large-scale ($5B+ rev), fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • At least 15 years of large-scale software engineering leadership experience driving global teams to deliver commercial enterprise product portfolios.
  • Proven track record of delivering successful and impactful AI solutions that address complex and diverse business problems and opportunities.
  • High degree of creativity, innovation, and passion for AI, and a commitment to ethical and responsible AI practices.
  • Strong technical and product knowledge and expertise in various AI frameworks, tools, platforms, and methodologies, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, Scikit-learn, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex and technical concepts to diverse audiences and stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and empower the AI team and the broader organization.
  • High degree of creativity, innovation, and passion for AI, and a commitment to ethical and responsible AI practices.
