πŸš€ The Job Mission

This hybrid role is based in Bridgwater, with relocation support available for the right individual. As an Area Integration Engineer, you will support the Delivery Integration Senior Engineer to review and develop construction sequences across your assigned area. You will ensure that schedules are credible, deliverable, and aligned with project milestones. Your future team depends on you to resolve sequencing issues, support readiness assessments, and coordinate interfaces across engineering, planning, procurement and site operations to keep the project on track.

Key responsibilities:

  • Review construction schedules to confirm sequences can be delivered within project constraints.
  • Assess material, labour and equipment availability to verify readiness for planned works.
  • Support resolution of hotspots and sequencing conflicts to maintain schedule milestones.
  • Ensure the consistent application of Delivery Work Pack and Interface Data Sheet processes.
  • Collaborate with engineering, planning, procurement, commissioning and operations functions.
  • Work across multiple areas to address transverse integration and schedule dependencies.
  • Use 3D/4D tools (Navisworks/Synchro) to analyse and validate construction sequences.
  • Interrogate and manipulate P6 schedule data and present findings via MS Office/Power BI.
  • Report progress and support β€œBest for Project” decision-making at area and project level.
  • Promote health, safety and environmental standards in all planning and coordination work.

Qualifications

πŸ›  Essential skills and qualifications

  • Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Process or Chemical Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in delivering complex projects in regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of planning tools (P6) and 3D model interrogation (Navisworks).
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel and PowerPoint capability.
  • Experience coordinating multi-discipline project interfaces.

  • Construction Health & Safety qualification (e.g. IOSH Managing Safely).
  • Experience in nuclear construction or other highly regulated sectors.
  • Background working within high-security project environments.
