Join us in shaping the future of hospitality!

About the Role

We’re seeking an Oracle Hospitality PMS subject‑matter specialist to join our PMS Expert team and serve as Canary’s in‑house authority on both OWS and OHIP. In this role, you’ll partner across Engineering, Product, Support, and GTM to ensure our customers running Oracle Hospitality PMSes have a best‑in‑class experience.

You will act as the primary internal point of expertise for OWS and OHIP, unblocking complex technical challenges and guiding how Canary integrates with and operates against these systems. Reporting to the Engineering Lead within the PMS Gateway pod, you’ll combine deep product and integration knowledge with hands‑on troubleshooting to improve reliability, accelerate onboarding, and expand product capabilities. If you have at least 2 years of hands‑on experience working closely with OWS or OHIP, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate onboarding for OWS and OHIP customers, including unique setup and regional or property‑specific requirements
  • Own OWS and OHIP support escalations and facilitate resolution through tight collaboration with Support, Customer Success, and Engineering
  • Drive integration expansion by validating, configuring, and testing new and existing flows between Canary and OWS/OHIP
  • Serve as the internal advisor on Oracle Hospitality — its environments, data models and limitations. Use this to inform design decisions
  • Create and maintain high‑quality documentation, playbooks, and testing environments to enable scale across CS, Support, and Engineering
  • Partner with Engineering to diagnose and resolve complex data synchronization or performance issues end‑to‑end
  • Collaborate with Product and external stakeholders to scope changes, align on milestones, and ensure smooth releases

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of hands‑on experience with OWS or OHIP (including setup, configuration, and day‑to‑day operations)
  • Practical understanding of APIs, webhooks, and data synchronization concepts
  • Deep familiarity with common Opera deployments, modules, and environment nuances across geographies
  • Proven track record of configuring, troubleshooting, and debugging Opera/OHIP integrations
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings for non‑technical stakeholders
  • Comfortable operating in a cross‑functional, fast‑moving environment and owning outcomes

Bonus Qualifications

  • Exposure to hospitality tech stacks beyond Oracle, such as other PMSes or middleware
  • Experience authoring runbooks and leading incident or triage processes
  • Experience working in a technology startup or scale‑up

$120,000 - $150,000 a year

The base Salary Range for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 annualized salary. This is subject to standard withholding and applicable taxes. Actual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate’s skill level, experience, and specific work location. This role may also include the opportunity to earn a discretionary bonus and/or equity.

We also work hard to ensure Canary is a fun and exciting place to work! Here are some of the additional benefits:

Canary Days:  As a company we want to ensure that the team has time to recharge. Each month we provide company wide days off to ensure there is at least one extended weekend or day off.

Self Improvement Club: We meet each month and share our personal goals for the month. Each individual is provided a budget towards any purchases that help us achieve these goals.

Professional Development Chats: We provide budget to help drive cross functional professional development conversations across the organization.

Travel Reimbursement: Team members are able to visit our offices across New York, San Francisco or Dallas when they choose, and are provided a travel stipend for doing so.  Spend time working with the team in their office, and use the rest of your time exploring a new city!

Personal Travel Reimbursement: If you stay at a hotel that Canary works with, we provide a credit towards your stay.

Canary Technologies is an equal opportunity employer. We recruit, employ, train, compensate and promote talent regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, national origin, citizenship, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, veteran status, disability, genetic information or any other protected characteristic.
