Staff Software Engineer – AI & Platform Architecture [Bangalore Candidates only may apply]
About the Role
We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer to act as a technical leader and strategic force multiplier across our engineering organization. In this role, you will define architectural direction, lead large-scale technical initiatives, and elevate engineering standards across teams.
You will play a pivotal role in shaping our AI strategy, designing the architectural foundations that enable secure, scalable, and production-grade AI capabilities. As a trusted technical advisor to engineering leadership, you will drive innovation at the intersection of enterprise SaaS platforms and AI-powered systems.
Key Responsibilities
Architect and lead complex, multi-team systems spanning the entire product portfolio
Define and drive the organization’s AI architecture, governance frameworks, and integration standards
Establish architectural patterns and technical direction for scalable SaaS and AI systems
Design and standardize MCP servers, AI integration patterns, and agentic workflows across products
Own end-to-end delivery of critical, company-wide technical initiatives
Define and enforce security, DevOps, and observability standards for AI-enabled systems
Partner with Product, DevOps, and Security teams to shape long-term technical roadmaps
Mentor engineers at all levels on system design, AI best practices, and architecture
Lead incident response for critical systems and drive post-incident improvements
Anticipate emerging AI trends, regulations, and platform shifts, and adapt strategy proactively
Required Qualifications
Experience
8+ years of software engineering experience with a strong track record of architecting large-scale, distributed systems
2+ years of hands-on, production AI/ML experience, building and deploying AI-powered features and platforms at scale
Technical Skills
Core Technology Stack
Backend: Node.js, TypeScript, .NET (C# – good to have)
Frontend: React
Databases: PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server
Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS, Docker
Strong understanding of modern SaaS and cloud-native architectures
AI & Platform Engineering
Python expertise with deep familiarity in the AI/ML ecosystem
Experience with MCP Servers and AI tool orchestration
Hands-on experience with AWS Bedrock and enterprise AI deployments
Frameworks & orchestration: LangGraph, Semantic Kernel
Strong experience with Vector Databases (indexing, scaling, hybrid search)
Advanced expertise in:
Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
Prompt engineering
LLM integration and fine-tuning
Multi-agent and agentic AI systems
Strong AI literacy: understanding of model capabilities, limitations, safety, and governance
System Design & Architecture Leadership
Proven expertise in distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native patterns
Ability to make long-term architectural decisions balancing scale, reliability, and maintainability
Designs systems with a strong focus on performance, observability, and evolution
Execution & Engineering Leadership
Owns delivery across the entire SDLC, from design to production
Mentors engineers across teams and seniority levels
Drives alignment and consensus across diverse technical and business stakeholders
Elevates engineering culture through best practices, documentation, and continuous learning
Security, DevOps & Communication
Strong expertise in IAM, secrets management, and secure AI deployment
Deep experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Designs robust monitoring, logging, and incident response strategies
Effectively communicates complex technical and AI concepts to technical teams and executive leadership
Collaborates closely with Product, DevOps, and Security to align on long-term strategy
Additional Note
We are specifically looking for candidates with 2+ years of real-world, production AI experience, including hands-on expertise in building features and platforms using MCP Servers. This role will directly influence AI architecture, standards, and strategy across our entire product portfolio.
