Role Overview

As Fresha continues to grow, we’re looking for a talented Video Editor & Animator to join our global team and play a key role in shaping the look and feel of Fresha Academy’s content.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for taking scripts, raw footage, and screen recordings, and transforming them into polished, engaging, and educational video lessons. You’ll use your editing expertise and motion design skills to bring complex ideas to life, ensuring every piece of content aligns with Fresha’s style and educational goals.

Reporting into the Product Education Content Lead and collaborating across teams, you’ll own projects from initial brief through to final delivery with a strong focus on post-production excellence and creative animation.

To foster a collaborative environment that thrives on face-to-face interactions and teamwork, all Fresha employees work from our dog-friendly office 4 days per week, with the flexibility to work remotely one day each week. London office address: The Bower, The Tower, 207 Old St, London EC1V 9NR

Key Responsibilities

  • Video editing: Own the editing process, cutting raw footage and creating screen recordings into engaging Academy lessons that are clear, concise, and on brand.
  • Motion design & animation: Create and integrate high-quality motion graphics, text animations, and visual effects to enhance storytelling and learning outcomes.
  • Creative development: Collaborate on concepts and contribute ideas for how best to visualise product features and processes through video.
  • Content consistency: Ensure all video content reflects Fresha’s brand identity, tone, and quality standards.
  • Project management: Own and manage multiple editing projects simultaneously, balancing deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Cross-team collaboration: Work closely with Product Education, Marketing, Design, and Product teams to develop video assets that resonate with our customers globally.
  • Content management: Uphold efficient production and content organisation, ensuring easy access to assets for the wider team.
  • Additional visual support: Support with filming and other design-related assets to complement Fresha’s content.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience: At least 3+ years of experience in video editing and motion design (including illustration, 3D animation), preferably in an educational, SaaS, or creative content environment.
  • Technical skills: Skilled in industry-standard editing and animation software (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent).
  • Storytelling: Strong eye for storytelling, pacing, and visual detail, with the ability to simplify complex product ideas into engaging educational content.
  • Creative vision: A self-starter with the confidence to articulate and champion your creative vision while adapting to feedback.
  • Independence & collaboration: Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively, taking ownership of projects from start to finish.
  • Project management: Strong organisational skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptability: Flexible and solutions-focused, able to pivot quickly when projects evolve.
  • Bonus skills: Experience or interest in filming and video production.

Screen call - Video-call with a member from the Talent Team - 30mins

1st Stage - In-person interview with Product Education content Lead, Head of Design & Videographer - 45mins

2nd Stage - Take-home task

Final Stage - In-person interview with Co-founder & Product Education content Lead
