Job description
We are currently looking for a Medior Automation QA with strong skills and proven experience, ready to join our Scalera team for a full-time engagement.
Scalera (https://www.scalera.ai/) was founded in 2023 and is headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland. The company develops a SaaS platform powered by artificial intelligence to automate tendering and procurement processes in the construction industry. Scalera specializes in analyzing technical specifications (PDF, GAEB, NPK, and others) and automatically matching tender line items with products from company catalogs, with the goal of reducing processing time, minimizing manual work, and significantly improving efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze requirement specifications and user stories to deliver prompt and insightful feedback.
- Perform functional, exploratory, and regression testing to ensure high product quality.
- Collaborate closely with developers and product teams to define acceptance criteria and testing standards.
- Identify, document, and track bugs in issue tracking systems (e.g., Jira).
- Develop manual test cases, as needed, that will serve as the basis for automated tests, ensuring comprehensive test coverage of all product aspects.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for APIs and ML pipelines (Python, Pytest, Django, FastAPI), UIs (Typescript, React, Tanstack), and end-to-end testing (Playwright, Browser Use).
- Analyze test results and provide recommendations for quality improvements.
What You Bring:
- 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance and test automation.
- Knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Proficiency with test case management tools.
- Knowledge of SQL and databases.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Playwright or similar.
- Knowledge of frontend unit/integration test libraries like React Testing Library, Vitest, Jest.
- Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman).
- Good understanding of CI/CD workflows.
- Experience working with Git, Github Actions, Docker, or similar DevOps tools.
- Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of German is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and a proactive attitude.
- You are fluent in English.
