International Trade Specialist – Consumer Products Manufacturing (hybrid onsite at plant Tue- Thus in one of 3 locations (Anderson SC, Macon GA or State College PA - 20–30% Travel)
Our client, a rapidly growing consumer products manufacturer with facilities in Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Georgia, is creating a new in-house role for an International Trade Specialist to lead and manage all import and export operations across multiple plants. After years of outsourcing these activities, the company is bringing this function internally to gain stronger control, compliance, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and execute all import/export activities for U.S. manufacturing facilities.
- Ensure full compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and international trade requirements.
- Manage global supplier and logistics partner relationships with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Support manufacturing operations by coordinating international purchasing and shipments.
- Travel to domestic facilities and international partners as needed (20–30%).
Required Qualifications:
- Active Licensed Customs Broker — non-negotiable; candidates without this license cannot be considered.
- Proven experience managing import/export functions within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-management skills.
- Must live within commuting distance of a PA, SC, or GA plant location.
