Founded in 2005, we accelerate the transition to a low-carbon economy by connecting capital to climate action. We specialize in trading environmental commodities such as Renewable Energy Certificates, Energy Efficiency Certificates, Biofuels, Carbon, Biomethane, EACs, Carbon Offset, Biogas, and THG-Quote. We help governments and corporations meet their sustainability goals by navigating global environmental regulations. Our trading activities and corporate solutions help market participants price emissions, direct investment, and channel capital to projects that drive decarbonization in both compliance and voluntary markets.

We operate several brands: STX Group, which offers physical and financial solutions across energy, fuels, gas, and carbon markets; Strive by STX, a consulting division focused on high-impact climate strategies; Vertis, a MiFID II trading firm supporting carbon compliance schemes like EU ETS, CBAM, and CORSIA; and Marine Olie, a trader in vegetable oils and fats for biofuels, biomass, and animal feed. We started as an early innovator in renewable energy markets and have grown into a global player through strategic expansions and acquisitions, including Vertis Environmental Finance in 2022 and Marine Olie in 2024.
